Event #16B ($2,200 NLH Main Event) - Flight B Advancing Players (By Chip Count)

Chris Orme - Chip Leader of Flight B

The final starting flight (Flight B) of the $2,200 No-Limit Hold'em Championship drew a total of 174 entries. After nine levels of play, 73 players are advancing to Day 2.  Those 73 players will join with the 18 players advancing from Flight A (and any that choose to direct-buy into Day 2), and will return to play Day 2 on Sunday at 11 am.  Because players are allowed to enter up until the start of play on Day 2, the prizepool has not yet been calculated. The prizepool will be tabulated and posted as soon as it's available sometime after 11 am on Sunday.

Chris Orme ended as the Flight B chip leader with 233,500. Orme started building early in the day and took the chip lead in Level 3 after sending a player home holding a set of jacks against his opponent's two pair. Orme then went on to eliminate Galen Hall shortly after, pushing him to the head of the pack.  Orme was always one of the top three to four biggest stacks throughout the day.

Coming in second from Flight B is Benny Bianco, with 207,100. Julian Sacks rounds out the top three, ending the night with 195,800.

Over the course of the day many notables fell including Michael Dobbs, Vanessa Selbst, Joe Heinzmann, John Caputo, and Laurie Hilton. All of these players still have the option to buy in directly to Day 2 on Sunday at 11 am if they so choose.

James Frangoulidis was the only player to bag in both flights. He bagged 21,400 in Flight A, and then bagged 37,600 in today's Flight B. Since this is a best stack forward event, he will carry only his higher stack forward to Day 2.

There's a commotion over on Table 4 that is starting to draw a bit of a crowd. The foxwoodspoker.com blog staff arrives and there's around 10,000 in the middle and a board reading 9♣5♠4♦3♣J♥. Mike Dentale has apparently checked in middle position, and the player on the button has bet 6,000.

"How much time do I got Huey?" Dentale asks the floor as the floor approaches the table. (Note: the floor's name is not Huey).

Since the floor has just arrived to the table he is not quite sure what is going on yet.  The dealer says to the floor, "Player has requested a clock," and the floor begins to give the "60 seconds to act speech."

About ten seconds in Dentale says, "I am going to take a long time on this one Huey, because I just have a small pair, and can really only beat a bluff here."

"You can't talk about your hand, Sir," the floor says to Dentale.

Dentale pauses for a few seconds, looks over at his opponent, and says, "I call."

Dentale's opponent turns over J♣7♥, having hit a pair of jacks on the river, and says, "I got lucky."

"You got lucky?  Oh, ya think!?!" Dentale responds.  Dentale turns over 7♠4♥, and continues, "You just F&*#&* hit a three outer..." his voice trails off.

The rest of the conversation involved Dentale talking seamlessly to himself about whether it's worth it to even play poker when you just keep getting poked in the a*$ over and over again.

The player says, "I'm sorry."

"No man, you didn't do anything wrong," Dentale responds genuinely to the player, "I just keep getting run over."

Some may consider Sundiata DeVore a more "up and coming" player, as he has really started making a name for himself in poker in the last three years. But one would be silly to think that the length of his poker resume is in any way related to his talent. DeVore's poker resume is peppered with deep runs, predominantly in casinos on the East Coast, and also in Las Vegas events.

DeVore's break-out success came back in November of 2014 when he took down the $250 NLH Turning Stone Super Stacks Hold'em event in Verona, New York for $18,002. Since that event, DeVore has made many deep runs at Parx, Borgata, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, and most recently here at Foxwoods.

This series alone, DeVore has already cashed in two events, taking 125th in the $400 Multi Flight Event #11 for $800, and taking 5th in the Re-Entry Event #1 for $23,080. Just a few days ago, DeVore also won the $300 NLH Six Max Event #14, taking home the trophy and $10,172.

A player in early position limps in, another player in middle position calls, the hijack raises to 800, Chris Orme re-raises to 1,550 in the cutoff, and the player on the button cold-calls. It folds back around to Orme, and they are heads up to the flop.

The flop comes K♣10♥7♦. Orme bets 1,700, and the button raises to 4,200. Orme calls the raise.

The turn is the J♦ and Orme shoves all in, having his opponent covered.

The button goes into the tank, and after nearly three minutes, he opts to call.

The river is the 7♠, giving both players a full house, but awarding Orme the pot with his bigger full house.

Orme raises his eyebrows in surprise and says, "Wow," as the pot is passed over to him.

Galen Hall has taken his seat here in the $2,200 Foxwoods Poker Classic Main Event to take his shot at the $400,000 guaranteed prizepool. According to Hall's Hendon Mob website bio, Hall started playing poker in high school. A PokerNews article written about Hall back in 2012 states that Hall started playing online in college, but also said that he really started really putting in volume after graduating from college.

Hall has just over $4,000,000 in live earnings on his resume, and his biggest score to date was in 2011 when he won the PCA Main Event in the Bahamas for $2,300,000.  Hall's poker resume is peppered with huge results from all over the world including Venice, Madrid, Bahamas, and a lot of bigger results in LA and Las Vegas.

Hall is known for playing many high roller events, and took 4th in the 2015 Aria $25,000 High Roller for $78,720, and 3rd in the 2012 $100,000 PCA Super High Roller for $470,400. At the very end of the first level, a big commotion is taking place over on table #2. When the foxwoodspoker.com blog staff arrives to the table there are three players all in. Ted Driscoll fills us in.

According to Driscoll, John Yiovanakos limps in from under the gun, Driscoll raised to 425 in early position, Baseem Nsier called in middle position, Rami Owera called in the small blind, and James Frangoulidis called in the big blind. With action back on Yiovanakos, the original raiser, he shoves all in for 13,100. Driscoll quickly folded, Nsier called, and Owera re-shoved over the top for 18,825. Frangoulidis quickly folded, and Nsier called Owera's all in.
