Event 1C: Matthew Bloch Bags Big to Lead Day 1C

Day 1C has come to an end with just 43 players and they are all in the money and guaranteed at least $1,200.

Matthew Bloch is all alone at the top of the chip counts putting the overall chip lead in the bag with 1,003,000.

The combined Day 1A-F survivors will return on Monday March 11 at 11 AM to resume Day 2 play and play down to a winner.

The Day 1C Event 1 money bubble has just burst. There are 52 players remaining and they are now all guaranteed at least $1,200 for their efforts.

Day 1C play will conclude with just nine more eliminations and the 43 Day 1C survivors will be returning on Day 2.

The Day 1C field is thinning and we are inching closer to the money. Sean Froehlich is leading the way and he is sitting behind a mountain of close to 600,000.

Froehlich is all alone at the top of the chip counts but there are currently a handful of players within striking distance.

Steve "Dakota" Happas continues to climb and he is playing a massive stack of 410,000. Just a few seats over from Happas sits Mike Cretella who is also playing a big stack with 280,000.

Event 1D: Registration Closed, 118 Day 1D Entries


The Day 1D turbo players have returned from break and play is back underway. Day 1D tournament registration and re-entry is now closed.

There were 118 Day 1D entries bringing the combined Event 1 total to 939 entries.

The final 15 Day 1D players will all make the money and be guaranteed at least $1,200 and the final 12 will be moving on to Day 2.

The 5 PM Turbo flight is picking up steam and there are already 80 entries on the first break. Some of the early Day 1D arrivals included Johanssy Joseph, Frankie Flowers, Natale Kuey, Fernando Zambrano and Caleb Clarke.

There's still plenty of time to register as tournament registration and re-entry will remain open until approximately 8 PM.

With registration now closed in our third Event 1 flight we will take a look at the numbers from the first three flights.

We caught up to the heads up action on the 8♠️7♠️3♦️K♣️ board. Boyuan Han checked and Greg Himmelbrand bet 11,000 into a main pot of over 20,000.

Han check-raised all in for 57,500 sending Himmelbrand deep into the tank. After giving it plenty of thought Himmelbrand released his hand and Han scooped the pot.

$600 NLH $500,000 Guaranteed Day 1D Kicks Off at 5 PM


Day 1D of the $600 NLH $500,000 Guaranteed (Turbo) flight will kickoff at 5 PM in the upstairs tournament area. 

The players will start with 25,000 in non-value tournament chips.

Levels 1-8 will last 20 minutes and levels 9+ will be 30 minutes. There is a high hand promotion through the first level of play. The highest hand dealt (minimum three of a kind) will receive their full tournament buy-in back, including entry fee.

This event is an unlimited re-entry event and Day 1D tournament registration and re-entry will remain open until the start of Level 9 (Approx. 8:00 PM).

There were 427 Day 1C entries brining the combined Day 1A-C Event 1 total to 821 entries. The final 52 Day 1C players will all make the money and be guaranteed at least $1,200 for their efforts.

Day 1C play will conclude when there are 43 players remaining and the bagging process will begin. All players MUST SHOW A VALID ID before bagging their chips.

There's already over $430,000 in the prize pool and three more starting flights remaining.

The players continue to file into the upstairs tournament area and were are nearing 400 Day 1C Event 1 entries. There are close to 800 combined Day 1A-C entries and counting and the prize pool is growing fast.

There is already more than $400,000 in the prize pool and with three more Event 1 flights to go it looks like we'll be cruising right past the $500,000 guarantee.

Natale Kuey
Natale Kuey has joined the Day 1C Event 1 field and just one week removed from the largest tournament score of his career.

Kuey best the stacked 159 entry field in the Parx BigStax $2,500 NLH event taking home $97,662 and his first Parx Poker title.

Kuey has now earned over $550,000 throughout his career and will surely be one to keep an eye on as the tournament progresses.

We are approaching the first break of the day here in our third Event 1 flight. Ross Santos was unable to find a bag yesterday but he is off to red hot start today.

Santos is already sitting behind a monster stack of 68,000 and is one of the early Day 1C chip leaders.

David Mock raised to 400 from late position and Stacey Sullivan re-raised to 1,500 from the small blind. Mock called and they went heads up to the K♦️9♠️6♠️ flop.

Sullivan led out with a bet of 1,500 and Mock quickly called. The turn brought the 5♠️ and Sullivan checked. 

Mock tossed out a bet of 3,600 and Sullivan fired her hand face down into the muck.
