The Championship NLH players have returned from break and the cards are back in the air and Danny Monosson is the current chip leader with 175,000.

L.J. Sande got off to a red hot start and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Seated just two seats to Monosson's right Sande is the second biggest stack in the room with 125,000.

The players are still trickling in here on Day 1A and there's still plenty of time to get in on the action. Tournament registration and re-entry will remain open until the start of Day 2 and Day 1B kicks off tomorrow at 12 P.M.

The Day 1A $2,500 Championship NLH players have just returned from their first break of the day. The field continues to grow and L.J. Sande who is seated at the livestream feature table is off to a red hot start.

Sande has already more than doubled his starting stack here in the early levels and is now playing close to 90,000.

Event 19: $250 Super Stack Turbo Bounty NLH Gets Underway at 1 P.M.

Event 19 of the Foxwoods World Poker Finals is the $250 Super Stack Bounty NLH. This will be a one day event with unlimited re-entry and will kick off at 1 P.M. in the upstairs tournament area.

Players will start with 40,000 in non value tournament chips and $50 in bounty chips. The levels will last 15 minutes and this event will use the big blind ante structure.

Event 18: $250 Ladies NLH Kicks Off at 11 A.M.

Event 18 of the Foxwoods World Poker Finals is the $250 Ladies NLH. This will be a one day event with unlimited re-entry and will kick off at 11 A.M. in the upstairs tournament area.

Players will start with 30,000 in non value tournament chips and Levels 1-15 will last 20 minutes. Levels 16 and up will be 30 minutes with a one hour dinner break after Level 18 (Approx 6:15 P.M.).

Luke Vrabel Wins Event 17 for $12,723 and the PSPC Platinum Pass

Event 17 of the Foxwoods World Poker Finals was the $250 PSPC Platinum Pass NLH $25,000 Guaranteed. Their were a total of 286 entries and when the dust settled Luke Vrabel was the last man standing.

Vrabel chipped up early and never looked back on his way to victory. He entered the final table third in chips and caught fire sending player after player to the rail.

When heads up play began Vrabel was holding nearly a 4-1 chip lead against Mike Dobbs. It didn't take long for all of the chips to go in the middle and Vrabel's ace king held up sending Dobbs to the rail in second.

Vrabel is our Event 17 Champion and takes home $12,723, his first Foxwoods World Poker Finals trophy and the PokerStars Platinum pass valued at $30,000.

Luke Vrabel raised to 200,000 and Mike Dobbs moved all in for 1,000,000. Vrabel snap called turning over A♣️K♥️ and was dominating the A♦️6♠️ of Dobbs.

The board ran out K♣️J♣️6♣️10♣️2♠️ and Dobbs was drawing dead on the turn as Vrabel improved to the nut flush. 

Dobbs is our Event 17 runner up and will take home $7,768 for his efforts.

Dakowski failed to improve on the 9♦️9♣️4♣️J♣️9♠️ runout and he is our 3rd place finisher earning $5,132.

Heads-up play is now underway with Vrabel holding a nearly 4-1 chip lead against Mike Dobbs.

Luke Vrabel raised to 200,000 from the button and Ryan Chua moved all in from the small blind for 500,000. It folded back to Vrabel who called turning over 4♣️4♠️ and Chua showed A♣️2♥️.

The K♠️8♠️3♦️10♦️2♦️ runout sealed the deal for Vrabel and Chua was eliminated in 4th earning $4,078.
