The first HighFlyer stack flight has come to an end and it's Michael Webb leading the way with 1,700,000.

Kevin Rines sits in second with 1,590,000 and Shawn Curry rounds out the top three Day 1A chip stacks with 1,485,000.

There are 23 players advancing to Day 2 on Sunday March 17 at 12 PM. They are all in the money and guaranteed a minimum of $800 for their efforts.

Tournament registration and re-entry is now closed here in our second HighFlyer Stack flight. There were 117 total Day 1B entries brining the combined Day 1A-B total to 304 entries. 

The final 15 Day 1B players will all be advancing to Day 2 and they'll be in the money and guaranteed at least $800 for their efforts.

We are already more than halfway to the $200,000 guarantee and there's still four more starting flights remaining. If the massive 1,823 entry field for Event 1 is any indication of what's to come we could be in for another big turnout here in the HighFlyer Stack. 

Event 7: $300 H.O.S.E Payouts


Event 7 of the Foxwoods Poker Classic is the $300 H.O.S.E. There were 53 total entries creating a prize pool of $13,067.

The final 7 players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $718 for their efforts. The Event 7 winner will take home $4,247 along with the Foxwoods Poker Classic trophy.

Two players who got to know each other in Event 1 are sharing the felt in our second HighFlyer stack flight.

Both players are fresh off the $600 NLH $500,000 GTD final table. Andrew Cooper took home his largest career score earning $97,253 after taking the lion's share of the prize pool in a four-way chop.

Ken Frey earned nearly $25,000 payday for his 6th place Event 1 finish and both will look to add another tournament score to their resumes here in the HighFlyer Stack NLH event.

There were 187 entries here in our first HighFlyer stack flight and there is no shortage of familiar faces in the field. Some of the players still in the hunt included Nick Palma, Ross Santos, Zach Bennardo, Bill Miller and Welther Marmol just to name a few.

The final 23 players will all make the money and be guaranteed at least $800 and they'll be moving on to Day 2 on Sunday.

Yiming Cao

The players have returned from break and we are inching closer to the money bubble. Yiming Cao built a big stack early and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

Cao is now sitting behind the biggest stack in the room with just over 800,000 and the Day 1A chip lead.

Event 7: The $300 H.O.S.E Event Kicks off at 12 PM


Event 7 of the Foxwoods Poker Classic is the $300 H.O.S.E and play will get underway at 12 PM in the upstairs tournament area.

The players will start with 15,000 in non value tournament chips and this will be a one day event with unlimited re-entries.

Like every tournament this series Event 7 will feature the high hand promotion. The player with the highest qualifying hand (Trips or better) during level one will receive their full $300 buy-in back.
