Event 3 $600 NLH: Bob Ricciuti Wins His First WSOP Circuit and $134,413

Bob Ricciuti

Event 3 of the Foxwoods Poker World Series of Poker Circuit was the $600 NLH $500,000 Guaranteed Ring Event. There was a massive turnout with 1,754 entries creating a prize pool of over $900,000 and Bob Ricciuti was the last man standing.

Ricciuti entered Day 3 with the chip lead but there were a few bumps in the road on the way to victory. Ricciuti took a tough beat with just three players remaining when his ace king was outflopped by the ace five of Corbin Avery.

He now found himself as the short stack but kept his composure and battled back. After eliminating Rafael Polanco in third Ricciuti entered heads up play with the lead to face off with Corbin Avery.

After just a few hands of play Avery ran his top pair right into the set of Ricciuti and was eliminated in second place.

The players shook hands and Ricciuti takes home his largest career tournament score of $134,413 and his first WSOP Circuit Ring.

"I was only planning to play a few events but now things might change" said Ricciuti with a smile as he posed for his winner photo.
