Three-Way Chop in the $2,500 FPC Main Event!


Phil Reed, Michael Lavoie and Ronnie Pease

The final three players in the Foxwoods Poker Classic $2,500 Main Event have come to an agreement on a three-way equity chop. In addition, Phil Reed takes home the trophy and leather jacket.

Ronnie Pease - $108,295


Michael Lavoie - $79,987

Break Time with Three Players Remaining

The players are now on a 15-minute break.

The blinds will be increased to 25,000-50,000 with a 5,000 ante.

With three players remaining, the average chip stack is now just over 3,786,000.

It was folded to Darren Keyes in the small blind, who moved all in. Michael Lavoie made the call from the big blind. They turned up:

Justin Schwartz moved all in for just over one big blinds with [Ad][Th] and was called by Michael Lavoie with [Jc][Jh].

The board ran out [Kd][9c][5s][Qs][2d] and Lavoie's jacks held up to win the pot and eliminate Schwartz in 6th place for $29,142.

Rod Legendre raised to 100,000 before the flop and Phil Reed three-bet to 290,000. Legendre made the call and the flop came [Kh][Qd][2h]. Legendre moved all in and Reed snap called with [Kc][Ks]. However, Legendre had outs with the [Ah][Qh].

The turn was the [3c] and the river came the [Jd]. Reed's set held up to win the pot and eliminate Legendre in 7th place for $24,339.

David Whalen Eliminated in 8th Place ($19,855)


David Whalen

After a flop of [3c][3d][3h], David Whalen bet 125,000 and Todd Terry made the call. The turn was the [As] and both players checked. The river came the [Jd] and Whalen moved all in for just over 500,000. Terry immediately made the call and they turned up:

Angie Raimondi
