Foxwoods Poker Classic - Double Bubble

We are now on a double bubble with both events currently running here at the Foxwoods Poker Classic.

The $1,500 NLHE event has 26 players remaining with top 20 spots paying.

The $300 Ladies Only NLHE event has 26 players remaining with top 25 spots paying.

Foxwoods Poker Classic Evening Update

In the $1,500 NLHE event, there are now 51 players remaining with top 20 finishing in the money. The blinds are currently 500-1,000 with a 150 ante.

In the $300 Ladies Only NLHE event, there are 59 players remaining with top 25 finishing in the money. The blinds are currently 600-1,200 with a 150 ante.

$600 NLHE - Ronald Pento Eliminated 5th ($8,615)



Ronald Pento moved all in for his last 243,000 from under the gun and Carol Neal, on the button, reraised all in. Everyone else folded and they turned over:

Pento needed help to outdraw Neal's aces. However, he found none on a board of [8s][7d][5c][5s][Ad]. Neal won the pot and eliminated Pento in 5th place.

On a flop of [Kd][4c][3d], Johanssy Joseph checked and Luis Rodi bet 60,000. Ronald Pento made the call and Joseph then moved all in for 76,500 more. Rodi made the call and Pento, having both players covered, reraised all in. Rodi called and the three players turned over:

Pento [Ad][9d]

Joseph was in front with his pair of kings, Pento had the ace high flush draw and Rodi had a lower flush draw. The turn was the [Kc], giving Joseph trips, and the river was the [3s].

Joseph won the main pot to triple up and Pento took the side pot to eliminate Rodi in 6th place.

$600 NLHE - Brian Graham Eliminated 7th ($5,607)



Amir Doroudian limped for 8,000 from middle position and Brian Graham moved all in for 115,000 total in late position. Doroudian made the call and the players turned over:

Graham was dominated and the board of [Jc][8s][5h][4h][4c] did not improve his hand. Doroudian won the pot and eliminated Graham in 7th place.

$600 NLHE - Carol Neal Doubles Up

Carol Neal raised to 32,000 preflop and Brian Graham made the ball from the button. Joe Joseph reraised to 76,500 from the big blind and Neal moved all in for 165,500 total. Graham folded and Joseph made the call. They showed:

The board came [Js][7c][3d][Jd][Ac] and Neal's kings held up to win the pot and double her up.

$600 NLHE - Ray Hicks Eliminated 8th ($4,239)



Robert Simpkiss raised to 25K from the button and Ray Hicks moved all in for 82K. Simpkiss called all in and they showed:

The board ran out [Jh][Th][7d][Jc][5d] and Simpkiss made trip jacks to win the pot and double up.

Hicks was left with only 1,500 in chips and was all in on his small blind on the next hand. It was folded around to him and he flipped up [As][Jd]. Unfortunately, Brian Graham turned up [Ah][Qd] in the big blind. The board did not improve Hicks and he was eliminated in 8th place.

$600 NLHE - Robert Hover Eliminated 9th ($2,880)



Robert Hover moved all in for his last 78,000 and Ronald Pento moved all in behind him. Everyone else folded and they turned over:

The board came [Jh][4h][4s][7c][6d] and Pento's queens held up to win the pot and eliminate Hover in 9th place.

$600 NLHE - Jim Chen Eliminated 10th ($2,256)



After being crippled on the first hand of play with [Ad][Kd] against the [Qh][Qs] of Amir Doroudian. Jim Chen moved all in on the second hand of play for his last 1,500. Robert Simpkiss called from the small blind but mucked his hand after Amir Doroudian raised from the big blind. They turned over:

The board ran out [Td][9s][7s][6s][Qc] and Chen was eliminated in 10th place.

Foxwoods Poker Classic Schedule for March 20th

Today at the Foxwoods Poker Classic, the $1,500 NLHE event is already underway. Registration will remain open for the first two levels of play. All players start with 15,000 in chips and the levels are one hour in length.

At noon, the final table of the $600 NLHE event restarts play.

Finally, at 3pm is the $300 Ladies Only NLHE event.

All events today will be held in the Grand Pequot Ballroom.
