Day 1A of the Foxwoods Poker Classic Championship has come to an end after 10 levels of play and it's Manny Okrah leading the way with 349,100.

Michael Linden sits in second with 246,800 and Aaron Smith rounds out the top three Day 1A chip stacks with 167,800.

There are 20 Day 1A survivors that will be returning Sunday March 24 at 12 PM to resume Day 2 play.

Below is a look the chip counts from the Day 1A players that will be advancing.

Michael Linden

The Day 1A Championship field is thinning down and just 28 players remain. Michael Linden took the chip lead early and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

Linden is now playing just over 200,000 and he's holding strong at the top of the chip counts.

Manny Okrah

Manny Okrah scooped a big pot just before dinner holding pocket aces against the pocket queens of his opponent.

He's up to 178,000 and quickly gaining ground on the Day 1A chip leader.

Stephen Song

Stephen Song raised to 1,400 from the hijack and Ryan Mostafa re-raised to 5,000 from the cutoff. It folded back to Song who made it 15,000 and Mostafa moved all in for about 60,000.

Song snap called turning over his A♦️A♠️ and Mostafa showed 10♠️10♥️. 

The board ran out clean for Song and Mostafa was sent to the rail. Song scooped the monster pot and he is now near the top of the Day 1A chip counts with 150,000.

Victor Ramdin
Day 1A Championship registration and re-entry remains open and we have seen a number of late entries. Victor Ramdin was among the latest wave of players to take their seats before the dinner break.

Ramdin's largest tournament score came right here at Foxwoods after winning the 2006 $10,000 Foxwoods Poker Classic NLH Main Event for over $1,300,000.

Ramdin has earned over $4,500,000 throughout his career and he will surely be one to keep an eye as the tournament progresses.

Joe Heinzmann


Joe Heinzmann and Michael Linden were just involved in a pre-flop raising war at the livestream feature table.

The end result was Heinzmann moving all in for 43,200 and Linden calling. Heinzmann turned over A♠️A♦️ and Linden saw the bad news as he tabled his K♣️K♦️. 

The board ran out clean for Heinzmann and his pocket rockets held up to earn him the monster pot and the double up.
