Event 14: Billy Pappas Back At It

Billy Pappas
Billy Pappas is another player that has been on fire during this Foxwoods Poker Classic. Pappas started the series with an 11th place finish in Event 1 earning more than $7,000.

He followed that up with another 11th place finish in the Bounty Event. Pappas then final tabled the $300 NLH monster stack and was part of a 6 way ICM deal. He took home more than $4,500 and after a much needed day off yesterday is he right back at it.

Pappas is among the field here in our fourth flight of the $400 Foxwoods Poker Classic $250,000 NLH event. He is still in the hunt with his sights set on Day 2 as he looks to make yet another deep run this series.

Event 14: John Caputo Joins the Field

John Caputo
John Caputo is having himself a Foxwoods Poker Classic to remember. He started it off by winning the opening event winning $61,219 and the $600 $500,000 GTD NLH Title. This was Caputo's fourth Foxwoods title bringing his live career tournament earnings just north of the $500,000 mark.

He was right back on the felt in Event 7 the $300 Seniors NLH and once again found himself at the final table. He was eventually eliminated in 7th place but notched another $4,529 tournament cash.

If that wasn't enough Caputo found himself making another deep run in the $1,200 NLH $125,000 event that wrapped up yesterday. Caputo was eliminated in 3rd place by winner Jeff Higgins but took home more than $17,000.

Caputo has just taken his seat and he tells us he is well rested up and ready to go. He's so confident he is now calling out which players he'll be knocking out of the tournament and even the level number. "I'm gonna knock him out in level 5" Caputo says pointing to Jose Tronilo.

We'll have to stick around to see what happens as Caputo looks to continue his recent heater here in Event 14.
