Day 1A of Event 9 has come to an end with just 15 players remaining and hey will all be in the money when they return on Day 2 and guaranteed at least $1,200.

Andrew Cooper vaulted to the top in one of the last hands of the night and is leading the way with 515,500. Cooper was down to just six big blinds late in the night but managed to battle back all the way into the chip lead.

Connor Wlochowski is right on his heels with 483,500 and Paul Arpino rounds out the top three Day 1A chip stacks with 400,000.

The combined Day 1A-D survivors will return on Monday October 15 at 12 P.M. to resume Day 2 play.

Connor Wlochowski
The action folded around to Connor Wlochowski in the small blind and he moved all in. The big blind called for just over 50,000 turning over A♦️9♦️.

He was dominating the A♥️5♦️ of Wlochowski but there was a five in the window on the Q♠️J♣️5♠️7♠️ flop. The J♦️ completed the board and Wlochowski earned the pot and the knockout.

The 19 remaining Day 1A players are now in the money and guaranteed a minimum of at least $1,200.

Day 1A play will conclude with just three more eliminations and it's Wlochowski at the top of the chip counts with about 500,000.

The Day 1A Event 9 players are now on a one hour dinner break. We will pick back up on the live tournament action when play resumes at approximately 8:45 P.M.

The Day 1A Event 9 field is starting to thin and there are some big stacks emerging. Ron Mcginnity is leading the way with just under 200,000.

Mike Cretella who is seated at the livestream feature table continues to climb and he is sitting behind over 150,000.

Event 2 runner up Jingzhe Cao is quietly amassing one of the biggest stacks in the room with 110,000.

James Campbell
The action folded around to James Campbell in the cutoff and he moved all in for his last 12,200. The player in the small blind re-shoved all in for about 30,000 and the big blind folded.

Campbell turned over AJ and was flipping with 88 of his opponent. The board ran out K♣7410K and the players pocket eights held up to send Campbell to the rail.

The Day 1A players are now on a 15-minute color up break and we will be taking a look at some of the big stacks when play resumes. 

Event 8 ($300 H.O.S.E): Payouts, $5,599 to the Winner

Event 8 of the Foxwoods World Poker Finals is the $300 H.O.S.E event. There were a total of 74 entries creating a prize pool of $18,663.

The final 9 players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $653. One lucky winner will take home $5,599 along with the Foxwoods World Poker Finals trophy.

We caught up to the heads up action on the river on the A♣️8♦️8♠️6♠️5♣️ board. The player who first to act fired out a bet of 3,500 into a main pot of about 8,000. 

James Campbell raised to 11,000 covering his opponent who had 10,200. The player called and Campbell turned over his 8♣️7♣️ for trip eights.

His opponent fired her hand face down into the muck and Campbell scooped the pot.

Event 8: $300 H.O.S.E Event at 12 P.M.

The $500,000 Guaranteed NLH event is not the only great tournament today. Event 8 the $300 H.O.S.E event will be kicking off at 12 P.M. here in the upstairs tournament area.

This will be one day event and the players will start with 15,000 in non-value tournament chips. The levels will last 30 minutes and registration will remain open until the start of level 9 (Approx. 4:30 P.M.)
