Day 1B of the Foxwoods Megastack Challenge $600 NLH $250,000 GTD drew a total of 225 entries brining the combined Event 1 total to 388 entries.

There are 22 Day 1B players joining the 17 Day 1A survivors on Day 2 and it's James Jacewicz leading the way with a massive stack of 761,000.

Jacewicz vaulted to the top in the very last hand of the night holding pocket kings against the pocket queens of Tarun Gulati and the pocket eights of a short stacked player.

His kings held up to earn him the double knockout along with the overall chip lead.

The combined Day 1A-D survivors will return on Monday April 29 at 11 AM to resume play and they are all in the money and guaranteed at least $1,200 for their efforts.

We are now just ten eliminations away from the money and as the field thins down the big stacks are emerging.

Pete Campo looks to be the current chip leader with about 325,000 and Carlos Sciannameo is gaining ground with close to 300,000.

Steve Brackesy built a big stack early and he's holding strong near the top of the chip counts with about 275,000.

The money bubble should be bursting shortly and 23 players will be making their way to Day 2 on Monday.

Event 2: $250 Super Stack Turbo NLH Payouts, $9,044 Up Top


Event 2 of the Foxwoods Megastack Challenge is the $250 Super Stack Turbo NLH with a $20,000 Guaranteed prize pool.

There were 168 total entries creating a prize pool of $34,786 nearly doubling the guarantee.

The final 18 players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $556 for their efforts. The Event 2 winner will take home $9,044 along with the Foxwoods Megastack Challenge trophy.

The Day 1B Event 1 players are now on a 15 minute color up break. The field is thinning fast as we approach the dinner break and there are just 67 players left in the hunt.

Some of the players that are still in the hunt include Sam Taylor, Steve Brackesy, Tarun Gulati, Vinny Pahuja and Mukul Pahuja.

The final 27 Day 1B players will all make the money and be guaranteed at least $1,200 and 23 players will be moving on to Day 2 on Monday.

Event 2: $250 NLH Super Stack Turbo $20,000 GTD Begins at 5 PM


Event 2 of the Foxwoods Megastack Challenge is the $250 NLH Super Stack Turbo with a $20,000 guaranteeed prize pool.

Play will begin at 5 PM in the upstairs tournament area and will feature the big blind ante and the high hand promotion.

The player with the highest hand (Trips or better) through the first level of play will recieve their full tournament buy in back.

Mark Perry raised to 3,000 from under the gun and the player in the big blind called. They went heads up to the 5♥️3♦️2♥️ flop. 

The player check-called a bet of 3,500 from Perry and the dealer burned and turned the A♦️. Both players knuckled the felt and the 6♥️ completed the board. 

The player checked and Perry tossed out a bet of 5,000. His opponent called and Perry turned over A♣️A♥️ for top set to take the pot.

Ralph Macri

Ralph Macri is heating up here in our second Event 1 flight and he just scored back to back knockouts before the last break.

He first sent David Mock to the rail holding top pair of aces against the river bluff of Mock.

Macri then went head to head with Jewook Oh holding Q♣️Q♥️ against the A♥️J♦️ of Oh on the jack high board. 

All of the chips went in on the turn and the river was no help to Oh who was sent to the rail. Macri is now playing over 140,000 and he's one of the biggest stacks in the room.

The second Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge Event 1 flight is now underway here in the upstairs tournament area. Yesterday's Day 1A drew a total of 163 entries and there are 17 players advancing to Day 2.

Adam Pepper caught fire in the last level of the night to bag the Day 1A chip lead with 478,500. There are already 80 early entries here on Day 1B and there's still plenty of time to get in on the action.
