2015 Foxwoods Poker Classic- Event #5 - $300 PLO Hi/Lo - Final Results

Place Name Prize
1 Christopher Amaral, Fall River, MA $2,815
2 Thomas Hedlund, East Longmeadow, MA $2,000
3 William Vandevine, Kingston, MA $3,000
4 Philip Federico, Mahopac, NY $2,400
5 Jian Zhao, Brooklyn, NY $1,134

1st Place: Jason Adams ($12,463)

2nd Place: Edward Franklin ($8,500)

Edward Franklin was all in with ten-nine and was up against the [Qd][7d] of Jason Adams. The [8s][3s][2c] flop was no help for Edward, but the [6d] turn gave him a gutshot straight draw to go with his two live cards. Instead, the river fell [Jc], making Jason's queen high the best hand. Edward will exit this tournament in 2nd place, good for $8,500.

3rd Place: Erik Torgersen ($5,300)

4th Place: Richard Ellison ($5,300)

5th Place: Edward Avallone ($5,300)

From under the gun, Erik Torgersen moved all in, and Edward Avallone called all in for less on the button. The rest folded, and the two exposed their hands:

Erik [Ac][9c]
Edward [Ks][Kd]

Erik asked for an ace in the window, and the dealer accommodated as the flop fell [As][3s][2h]. The [8d] hit the turn, and a blank river meant Edward Avallone will exit this tournament in 5th place. He will earn $5,300 for his efforts.
