She Lok Wong bagged one of the biggest Day 1D stacks with 667,000

The fourth and final Event 9 flight has come to end with just 45 players remaining and it's Abdesnam Elkhattabi bagging the overall chip lead with 758,500. She Lok Wong is right behind with 667,000 and Irfan Karajic rounds out the top three Day 1D chip stacks with 608,000.

The players will return on Monday October 15 at 11 A.M. to resume Day 2 play and there are 105 players remaining. They are all in the money and guaranteed at least $1,300 for their efforts.

The $250 Super Stack Turbo NLH is closing in on the money with just 25 players left in the hunt. Luis Vazquez has distanced himself well out in front of the field.

Vazquez is playing 700,000 and looks to be the only player currently over half a million. He already holds three Foxwoods Poker titles and is closing in on number four with "The General" by his side cheering him on.

Sam Lopes
Sam Lopes was the first player to cross the half a million chip mark here in our final flight and he's not slowing down. 

Lopes is sitting behind a mountain of over 600,000 and he's on pace to catch overall Event 9 chip leader Eric Vogel who bagged an impressive 677,500 on Day 1B.

He isn't alone at the top of the counts however as there's a player who wishes to remain anonymous playing a nearly identical chip stack just a few tables over. We are now just ten eliminations away from the money as the final 55 Day 1D players will all make the cash and be guaranteed a minimum of $1,200.

Event 11 of the Foxwoods World Poker Finals is the $250 Super Stack NLH Turbo $20,000 Guaranteed. There were a total of 149 entries creating a prize pool of $31,074.

The final 18 players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $497 for their efforts.

Sam Lopes raised to 7,000 from under the gun and Terry Grimes called. They went heads up to the A♦️4♣️2♠️ flop and Lopes bet 6,000. Grimes called and the dealer burned and turned the K♠️.

Lopes checked and Grimes fired out a bet of 11,000. With the action back on Lopes he check-raised all in covering Grimes who had 75,000 behind.

Grimes thought it over for just a few moments before folding and Lopes added another pot to his monster chip stack.

The chips are flying in the final Event 9 flight and Martinho Camara continues to climb the counts.

Camara already holds two Foxwoods Poker titles and he won his first WSOP Circuit ring here in August after taking down the $400 WSOP Circuit NLH event for over $25,000.

After scooping his latest pot Camara is up to about 225,000 and in contention for the Day 1D chip lead with just 139 players remaining.

There are less than 200 players remaining in the final Event 9 flight and two former Foxwoods Poker Champions are still in the hunt.

She Lok Wong is mixing it up in the back of the tournament area and he certainly knows a thing or two about Foxwoods Poker success. Wong holds 4 Foxwoods Poker titles as well as a WSOP Circuit Ring that he won right here at Foxwoods.

Another former Foxwoods Poker Champion Mark Perry is seated just one table over from Wong. Perry also holds a WSOP Circuit ring as well as a Parx BigStax title and a PPC Poker title and has earned more than $400,000 throughout his poker career

The players have returned from their break and tournament registration and re-entry is now closed. There were a total of 453 here in the final flight bringing the combined Event 9 total to 1,055 entries.

The final 55 Day 1D players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $1,200. Play will conclude when 46 players remain and they will join the 60 Day 1A-C on Monday October 15 at 11 A.M. to resume Day 2 play.

The Event 9 tournament payouts are being finalized and they will be posted as soon as they're available.

Dennis Wong
There are already over 200 entries in the fourth and final Event 9 flight and Dennis Wong is among the early arrivals.

Wong is fresh off his first Foxwoods World Poker Finals victory after taking down the $300 Double Stack NLH event after a four way adjusted payout agreement in the series opener.

He got his series off to a great start and added $5,222 to his bankroll but he was just getting started.

Wong made his second final table of the series late last night in the $250 Super Stack NLH event. He fell just shy of his second title finishing in second place for $6,100.

Wong is wasting no time putting his starting stack to work today in the early levels as he looks to make another deep run here in Event 9.

Event 9D: The Final $600 NLH $500,000 Guaranteed Flight Begins at 11 A.M.

Event 9 of the Foxwoods World Poker Finals is the $600 NLH (Re-entry) with a $500,000. There were 602 combined Day 1A-C entries and 60 players are already moving on to Day 2.

There's already more than $325,000 in the prize pool and the fourth and final Event 9 starting flight will begin today at 11 A.M. in the upstairs tournament area.

Players will begin with 25,000 in non-value tournament chips and Levels 1-8 will last 30 minutes. Levels 8+ will be 40 minutes and there will be a one hour dinner break after Level 14 (Approx 7:45 P.M.).
