Ladies Event - Catherine Connaughton Eliminated in 6th Place ($1,029)

Last year was a great year for Connaughton having won a "triple crown" of sorts.  She took down the WSOP Foxwoods Circuit Ladies Event in August for $4,818, the Foxwoods Poker Classic Ladies Event in March for $4,215, and the Card Player Poker Tour at Foxwoods in February for $4,550. But this year will not be a repeat performance for the mother of four (and grandmother of two), as she was just eliminated in 6th place for $1,029.

Ladies Event - Heidi Alexander Eliminated in 7th Place ($793)

Heidi Alexander is no stranger to Ladies Events, she won three of them here at Foxwoods, three years in a row. 

Today the former NFL cheerleader and mother of one was eliminated in 7th place, taking home $793.

Ladies Event Nearing the Money Bubble

There are 15 players remaining in the $250 Ladies Event, and 12 players will make the money.  Shortly they will go hand for hand until the money bubble bursts. 

When 10 players remain, they will redraw for new seats at the unofficial final table of ten.

Shawn Reilly has just defeated Nick Collins heads up in Event #9 to win his first World Series of Poker ring, and score himself $14,094.

The board reads 10♥8♦6♠, and Shawn Reilly checks. Nick Collins bets 50,000 on the button, Reilly raises to 175,000 ,and Collins shoves all in.  Reily calls, and the players table their hands:

The turn is the 8♣, giving Reilly a full house, and the 2♠ river becomes inconsequential.  Nick Collins is eliminated in 2nd place, taking home $8,713.

"Come on, bring a club," Reily says, and it's the 6♣ giving him the flush, but also giving Collins a full house to double him up.

"That's my fault, I didn't specify which club," Reily says as the chips are passed over to Collins.
