Wendell Barnes raises to 55,000 in the cutoff.  The player on the button calls, as do both of the blinds.

The flop comes [7s][7d][3s].  Both blinds check, and Barnes shoves all in, having all three of the other players covered.

The player on the button goes into the tank for a solid minute before releasing his hand.  The small blind quickly folds, and the big blind folds her pocket fives face up.

Barnes flashes his cards so that only the blog staff can see.

"Show one, show all," a player not involved in the hand joked.

"Check the blog in the next few minutes, I'll keep you guessing until then," Barnes said with a smile.

"I really think my fives were way good there, he probably had ace king," the big blind says.

"You will find out in a few minutes," Barnes replies.

For those wondering, Barnes did in fact fold the best hand (of the two shown), as he was holding [jd][jh].

Barnes is now sitting with one of the larger stacks in the room, at 645,000 with 20 players remaining.

Don River's Wins on the River (Event #4 $250 NLH Super Stack Turbo)

A player in middle position raises all in.  Action folds to Don Rivers in the cutoff who shoves all in for 63,500.  The player on the button also shoves all in for a bit more than Rivers.  The player in the big blind moves his cards forward, seemingly to muck them, but the player on the button flipped over his pair of aces before the blinds cards were officially mucked.  The blind showed [10c][5c].  After a floor ruling, the button was given a three hand penalty for exposing his cards early, and the players then turned over their hands.

Cheng Dong Wins Event #2 - $300 NLH Big Stack ($17,684)

It was bitter sweet for Cheng Dong (and his brothers), as Dong has been a regular player for years at Foxwoods.  Today was the final chance to make his mark in a tournament here, as he is moving to China on the 15th. 

In a final chop deal, Marty Salowitz would take $15,000 for 2nd place, and Dong would take the remaining $17,684. Dong had a two-to-one chip lead, and because of that Salowitz agreed to let Dong take the trophy with him when he moves to China next week.

Salowitz checked in the dark, and the flop comes [ad][jh][2s].  Dong checks behind. 

When the [3c] comes on the turn, Salowitz bets out 300,000, and Dong calls. 

When the river comes the [kh], Salowitz bets 500,000, and Dong shoves all in for 905,000 more.  Salowitz takes a moment to think, and eventually announces a call.

Bubble Burst in Event #2 ($300 NLH BIG STACK) in Series of Two Hands

Robyn Fisk had just doubled up that last hand after being all in blind in the small blind. Her and the player on the button ended up chopping the pot to keep her alive. 

For the official bubble to burst, two players would need to be eliminated. 

In two different hands at two different tables, those two players were lost. 

Hand #1: 

Jonathan Troisi raises to 40,000 from under the gun.  The player in the cutoff calls, and Robyn Fisk shoves all in on the button for less than 10,000.  The player in the small blind raises to 100,000.  With action back on on Troisi, he reraises to 350,000.  The cutoff folds, and the player in the small blind goes into the tank.  After a few minutes of thinking, Troisi calls the clock on the player.  After 30 seconds pass, the player folds [qh][qs] face up. 

Troisi says to the player, "Nice fold," as he turns over his cards to show [ac][as].  Fisk would need some help holding [10d][10h]. 

The flop comes [ad][10d][4d], giving Troisi a set, but also giving Fisk the flush draw.  She calls aloud for a diamond.  But it's the [9c] that comes on the turn, and the [js] on the river. 

Fisk is eliminated from play, and Troisi is sitting just over 800,000, seemingly the chip leader of the tournament. 

Hand #2:

The player in the cutoff shoves all in for 130,000.  Sean Carlson asks for a count on the button.  Upon hearing the total, he shoves all in over the top.  All remaining players fold, and the following hands are tabled:

The flop comes [8d][6c][4c], leaving Carlson in the lead.  But the [ac] on the turn gives the lead to his opponent.  Carlson needs to improve or his opponent will double up.

We are inching closer to the bubble bursting in Event #2 ($300 NLH BIG STACK), with 49 players remaining (45 will make the money). 

In Event #3 ($250 Omaha Hi-Lo 8+) there are currently 30 players remaining, and nine will eventually make the money. 

Soukha Kachittavong Apparent Chip Leader in Event #2 ($300 NLH BIG STACK)

We are currently playing level 17 with 2,000/4,000 blinds, and a 500 ante.  Soukha Kachittavong is sitting with right around 260,000 in chips, and is seemingly the biggest stack in the room at this moment. 

"The General" is also seated at Kachittavong's table, and has around 70,000. 

Event #2 saw a grand total of 369 entries, and there are currently 101 players remaining.  The top 45 players will get paid in this event, and it will play to a conclusion tonight/early morning.

Mike Clemente Eliminted By Joe Cherico in Event #2 ($300 NLH Big Stack)

Mike Clemente has shoved all in from the big blind, and Joe Cherico is contemplating the call from the hijack.  After a minute of thinking, Cherico throws in the 22,000 to call.

When the flop comes [10s][qs][4s], Cherico takes the lead with his pair of queens, but Clemente has the nut flush draw holding the ace of spades. 

Unfortunately for Clemente the [6d] turn, and [10c] river do not improve his hand, and he is sent to the rail.

Before walking away Clemente shakes Cherico's hand. 

"I'm sorry," Cherico says to Clemente.

"Don't be sorry, that's poker," Clemente responds genuinely.

On a board reading [as][jd][10d][ad], a player in middle position bets 1,000, Greg Joshephson raises to 2,000 in the hijack, and J'Quan Colton reraises to 3,000 in the cutoff.  Both players call.

It checks around to Colton when the [8c] comes on the river, and he bets 3,000.  Both the player in middle position as well as Josephson call, and the players table the following hands:

After a preflop betting war, Chris Blake is all in holding [ah][ac], and has been called by Kevin Bagley holding [qs][qd].

The [qc][js][9d] flop is just what Bagley needs to put him into the lead with a set of queens.

The [8s] comes on the turn giving Blake chop outs. He will need an ace to hit his set, or a ten for a straight to chop.

When the [10h] comes on the river, Blake is visibly relieved to chop the pot as both players are now playing the straight on the board.  Bagley on the other hand sighs out loud, and is less than pleased to chop after having flopped so far ahead of his opponent.

Event #2 - $300 NLH Big Stack is just coming back to level 11, and Event $3 - $250 Omaha Hi-Lo 8+ is in the midst of level 6 which means that the entry period is now closed for both events.

The General Triples Right Before End of Rebuy Period

The infamous "General" is all in from the big blind against two other players at the table (one in middle position that has everyone covered), and the small blind who has the least amount of chips.

The General calls for a nine or a ten, just as the dealer deals out the [jh][9s][7h] flop. 

The [5s] turn and [jd] river are safe, and The General triples up, sending the player in the small blind to the rail.

"I was just trying to rebuy," General said as he started to stack his chips. 

A break is now commencing, and players wishing to buy in or rebuy will have through this fifteen break to do so. 

Will Perry Chips Up in Event #3 $250 Omaha Hi-Lo 8+

Will Perry is looking for a repeat performance in today's $230 Omaha Hi-Lo 8+ tournament.  In October of 2014, Perry took down the $300 Omaha 8+ Event in the Foxwoods World Poker Finals for $4,369.  Perry has a total of $15,986  in live earnings, almost exclusively from Foxwoods Events.

In Event #3 with blinds at 75/150 (limit 150/300) , we recently found Perry involved in a hand with five limpers to see the [kc][5s][4s] flop.  It checks around to the player in the hijack who bets 150.  All four players call.  When the [6c] comes on the turn it checks around to the player on the button who bets 300.  Perry calls, as do the hijack and the cutoff.  

When the [ad] comes on the river, Perry leads out for 300. Only the player on the button calls.  

Perry tables [2c][3c][4c][7h] to scoop the pot.  He is now sitting with just around 15,000 in chips

Kathleen Pautler Nearly Doubles in Event #2

On a board reading [ac][jc][4h], Ralph Macri checks in the big blind, two players in middle position also check, and Kathleen Pautler bets 3,500.  The player in the hijack calls, as does one of the players in middle position. 

The player in middle position checks the [2s] turn, as does Pautler, and the hijack bets 6,500.  Only Pautler calls. 

Pautler checks the [3d] river, and her opponent hesitantly checks behind after a moment of thinking about it.  

Pautler turns over [ah][qh].  Her opponent again pauses before eventually mucking his cards face down. 

While Pautler is stacking her chips, Ralph Macri says, "I folded pocket fives. Now I wish I had played them."

Event #3, the $230 Omaha Hi-Lo 8+ tournament is now underway.  Players start with 10,000 in chips, and this event will play to a conclusion today.  The levels for this tournament are 30 minutes, re-entries are not allowed, and registration is open until the start of level 5 for those wishing to enter.
