A player opens to 8,500 in early position, and Giuseppe Ruvolo re-raises to 23,000 on the button.  Dale Beaudoin moves all in from the small blind for around 100,000, and the original raiser quickly folds.  Ruvolo snap-calls, and the players table their cards:

The field has been dwindling, but there are still a significant amount of familiar faces left in the crowd. Of the notable chip counts, it's Soukha Kachittavong and Sam Taylor that are battling for the top spot in the chip counts.  Both players have around 215,000 in chips, and both players clearly have the skills necessary to carry them through to the end of this tournament.  Kachittavong and Taylor both have World Series of Poker Circuit rings, and both earned those rings here at Foxwoods.

There were a total of 596 entries in the final flight of the $600 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry Event #1.

The field will play down to the 72 players before bagging and tagging later tonight.  Those 72 players will join the 30 players that advanced in Flight A, and the 45 that advanced in yesterday's Flight B, and will play Day 2 on Monday at 11 am.  All players that make Day 2 will return in the money, and any player that bags in multiple flights will take home $1,200 for each additional stack they bag, with only their largest stack advancing to Day 2.

In the final hand of the night, the bubble was burst by Stephen Song. But it was the second to last hand of the night, when Gennadiy Kostrov doubled through Cheryl Sloane, aces vs. kings, that determined the chip leader of Flight B. What looked to be the last hand of the night, during the hand-for-hand portion of play, Gennadiy Kostrov scored a huge double to put himself in contention for the Flight B chip lead.

Kostrov raised to 12,000 in early position, and Cheryl Sloane moves a stack of chips forward totaling around 70,000 on the button. Kostrov announces that he is all in, and Sloane clarifies that she already moved all in. So essentially, Kostrov has called her shove.  But none of that mattered because once the cards were flipped over, it was almost always going all in, regardless of who shoved first.

There were a total of 373 entries in the second of three starting flights in the $600 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry Event #1.

The field will play down to the 45 players before bagging and tagging later tonight.  Those 45 players will join the 30 players that advanced in Flight A, and any that bag in the final Flight C tomorrow, and will return to play Day 2 on Monday at 11:00 am.  All players that make Day 2 will return in the money, and any player that bags in multiple flights will take home $1,200 for each additional stack they bag, with only their largest stack advancing to Day 2.

Michael Simoneau seems to be on a great run, after eliminating two players in back to back hands.

Hand #1:

The first hand, there was a three way all in involving the following hands:

The flop comes Q♥Q♠4♠ causing table mate David Carleton to say to Awalt, "You are so lucky, dude." To which Awalt responds, "Yeah, until the ace comes on the river."

The 2♦ on the turn does not change the hand, but when the A♦ does in fact arrive on the river the table errupts in shock.

"Wow dude, you so called that," Carleton says to Awalt, "Get back in here."  Awalt confirms he will be re-entering as he starts to head to the cage.

• Late registration is open until the start of Level 9 (approx. 2:30 pm)
• Re-Entries are allowed until the start of Level 9
• Players begin with 20,000 in tournament chips. 
• Blinds start at 25/50. 
• All Day 1s will play down to approximately 12% of the field. All players that make it to Day 2 will return in the money.  
• This is a best stack forward tournament. If you bag chips more than once, you will receive a payout of $1,200 and play your best stack forward to Day 2.
