Pete Campo moved all in from the cutoff for 215,000 and Chris Leong called from the small blind. Campo turned over A♣️A♠️ and Leong showed K♠️J♠️. The dealer fanned the Q♣️9♠️7♦️ flop and Leong picked up a gutshot straight draw. 

The turn 6♥️ was no help to Leong but the 10♥️ hit the river. The table erupted as Leong improved to a straight on the river to score the knockout. 

Campo is our 5th place Event 9 finisher and will take home $5,224 for his efforts.

 Leong quickly called turning over K♠️Q♦️ but he was dominated by the A♦️K♦️ of Coulombe. The board ran out A♣️9♦️6♦️8♣️7♦️ and Coulombe improved to the nut flush to double up.

Josh Heinzl

The action folded to Soukha Kachittavong on the button and he raised to 27,000. Josh Heinzl re-raised to 100,000 and the big blind folded. With the action back on Soukha he made it 190,000 and Heinzl moved all in for 360,000.

Soukha snap called turning over A♣️A♠️ and it was a cooler for Heinzl who showed Q♣️Q♠️. The board ran out clean for Soukha J♠️9♠️6♥️7♣️4♣️ and Heinzl was eliminated in 6th place taking home $3,768.

Nick Pupillo

The action folded to Chris Leong on the button and he raised to 27,000. Nick Pupillo called from the big blind and they went heads up to the Q♣️8♣️8♠️ flop. Pupillo checked and Leong threw out a bet of 20,000. Pupillo check raised all in for 185,000 and Leong nearly beat him into the pot with the call. 

Pupillo turned over K♣️6♣️ for a king high flush draw and Leong showed trip eights holding K♠️8♥️. The turn was the 10♣️ and Pupillo turned his flush to take the lead. The 10♥️ completed the board and Leong improved to a full house to score the knockout.

 Pupillo is our 7th place Event 9 finisher and will take home $2,701 for his efforts.

Nick Pupillo

With Event 9 Six-Max tournament registration now closed there are some big stacks starting to emerge. Nick Pupillo looks to in the lead with 110,000 but Soukha Kachittavong is right on his heels with close to 100,000.

These two big stacks are now sharing the felt and there's plenty of potential for a monster pot if they decide to clash. "I'm going to be very cautious when it comes to Nick" said Kachittavong as we walked past the table.

John Caputo Wins Event 7, Earning His Second WSOP Ring and $12,260

Event 7 of the Foxwoods World Series of Poker Classic was the $400 NLH $30,000 Guaranteed ring event. There were 139 entries creating a prize pool of more than $45,000.

When the dust settled Foxwoods legend John Caputo was the last man standing. Caputo started the Day 2 final table with the short stack but secured a double up early on and never looked back.

He went on to defeat Chris Hancock heads-up after the two battled it out for over an hour. "That guy was one tough player" said Caputo after the lengthy heads-up battle.

Caputo takes home $12,260 along with his second WSOP Circuit ring and has now earned more than $525,000 throughout his illustrious poker career.

Chris Hancock moved all in for 520,000 and John Caputo called. Hancock turned over 3♦️3♠️ and Caputo showed A♥️8♠️. The dealer fanned the A♠️J♠️9♥️ flop and Caputo paired his ace in the window to take the lead. 

The turn was the 6♣️ and Hancock asked the dealer for three on the river. He did not get his wish when the 5♣️ completed the board and the two players shook hands. Hancock is our Event 7 runner up and takes home $7,579 for his second place finish.

Event 9 of the Foxwoods World Series of Poker Circuit is the $600 Six-Max NLH with a $50,000 guarantee. There were a total of 158 entries creating a prize pool of $81,370.

The final 18 players will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $1,008. The Event 9 Six-Max winner will take home $22,784 and the WSOP Circuit ring.
