Down to 225 Players in the Mega Stack Main Event

Players have just returned from their second break of the day and cards are back in the air.

There are 225 remaining out of the 345 who started play today.

The blinds have been increased to 500-1,000 with a 100 ante and the average chip stack is now 61,300.

At the conclusion of this level, the players will take their dinner break.

The $1,200 Mega Stack Challenge Main Event is now underway.

Players start with 40,000 in chips and the blinds are currently 50-100.

The first 17 levels are 40 minutes in length with every level after that being 50 minutes.

This event has a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Tu Tran Triples Up in a Three-Way All-in Pot

Tu Tran moves all-in for his last 196,000 before the flop and is called by Bradly Yazici on the button.  Daniel Serafin thinks for a moment before announcing that he is all-in.  Yazici immediately makes the call and the players turn up:

Serafin - [As][Qh]
Tran - [Ah][Jd]

The flop comes [Jc][8d][3c], pairing Tran but leaving Yazici in the lead with his kings.  However, the turn is the [Ac] and suddenly Yazici is in third place.  The [6d] falls on the river.

Tran triples up to over 600,000 by winning the main pot with his two pair.

Serafin wins the massive side pot with his pair of aces to put him over 1,300,000.

Yazici is left with just under 150,000.

Nick Palma Nearing 300K Late on Day 1 of the $400 Mega Stack

Nick Palma

With just 68 players remaining and the chip average at 68,500, Nick Palma has taken a commanding chip lead on Day 1 of the $400 Mega Stack Challenge with nearly 300,000 chips.

Palma is looking for another victory in the same event he won in March of this year during the Foxwoods Poker Classic.  In that $400 event, Palma took home $23,630 for first place.

The players on Day One of the $400 Mega Stack Challenge are now on a one-hour dinner break.

There are 75 players remaining and the average chip stack is just over 75,700.

The $400 Mega Stack Challenge event is underway.  This event features a $75,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players start with 20,000 chips and the first twelve levels are 30 minutes in length.  Every level after that will be 40 minutes in length.

Quan Quach Wins the $300 Mega Stack Challenge for his Brother

$300 Mega Stack Champion Quan Quach

Quan Quach is officially the champion of the $300 Mega Stack Challenge event.  He takes home $41,494 and the Mega Stack Trophy.

His brother, Phi Quach, passed away on June 8th.  Quan said "This is for you brother.  I love you and I miss you very much."

Once heads-up play started, Arkado Gadelov and Quan Quach came to an agreement on a deal, with Gadelov taking an additional $2,000 on top of second place money.
