Kurtz Holding His Own And Then Some At "Stacked" Table

CPPT Main Event (Flight B)
Level 11 (500/1,000/100)
Total Entrants: 94
Players Remaining: 44
Chip Average: 64,000
David Kurtz (Brookline, MA)
If you play basketball, you're most likely never going to play on the same court as LeBron James.

If you play baseball, chances are you're probably not going to take the field with the Boston Red Sox.

But, if you play poker, there's always a chance you could sit at the same table with some of the best players in the world and that's exactly the situation David Kurtz (Brookline, MA) finds himself in here in Flight B of the Card Player Poker Tour Main Event.

Kurtz is at the center of a "stacked" table that features WSOP Main Event Champion Greg Raymer and numerous tournament professionals with close to $3,000,000 in live earnings among them in Roland Ishraelashivilli, Matthew Wantman and Joseph Steirs and he's holding his own among the poker elite, currently playing an average stack with just over an hour remaining in this Day 1 session.

Kurtz might not have the tournament pedigree that all of those above mentioned players have, but he's certainly no stranger to the game as he has two WSOP cashes on his resume as well as two Foxwoods Final Tables including a 4th place finish in the WSOP Circuit this past summer.

While other players might have "easy" table draws, Kurtz's is certainly the toughest of this flight and if he can hold strong for the rest of Flight B and bag up chips, he will certainly be a player to watch come Day 2 when he's almost guaranteed an easier redraw after playing with some of the best players this Main Event has to offer for the majority of the night.
