$250 Ladies Final Table Reached

The final 10 players have been reached in the $250 Ladies Event.  The players are taking their seats at the final table and is now streaming live at www.FoxwoodsLive.com.

1st Place: Randal Sklar ($23,969)

Randal Sklar had his opponent all in twice already, but it looked like the third time would be the charm as Randal had [Ad][Ac] against Jeff's [Ah][Jd].  The [2h][8h][3s] flop was no help for Jeff, but the [Jc] on the turn did open up two outs for him.  This time, Jeff did not suck out as the river fell the [2d].

Randal has won Event #9: $580 NLH for $23,969, along with the World Series of Poker Circuit Ring.  His rail of supporters immediately congratulated and hug their friend, and happily posed for pictures with the latest WSOP-C champion.  With this win, Randal is now in 2nd place in points for the WSOP-C Casino Champion.

2nd Place: Jeff Hall ($14,816)

Jeff Hall doubles up again

After limping in from the small blind, Randal Sklar moved all in from the big blind.  Jeff thought for a bit and then decided to call.

Randal [7s][7d]
Jeff [Qd][9d]

The dealer put out the [4d][2c][Td] flop, keeping Randal in front.  The [Js] turn opened a world of outs for Jeff, and he made his runner-runner straight when the [Kc] hit the river.

Jeff Hall doubles through Randal Sklar

Jeff Hall was all in preflop holding [Kc][Qc] and was up against Randal Sklar's [As][8s].  Randal's rail asked for an ace in the window, but instead the dealer spread the [5c][Th][Jh] flop.  Now an ace would give Jeff an unbeatable straight, and amazingly the [Ac] hit the turn.  The meaningless [3h] was dealt on the river to give Jeff the doubleup.  He now has 700,000 to Randal's 1.4 million.

Heads up chip counts

Randal Sklar (1.4 million) vs. Jeff Hall (600,000)

3rd Place: Thomas Walsh ($10,662)

Thomas Walsh (standing, right) watches as the last card falls
Thomas Walsh was all in preflop holding [9s][9c] and was up against the [Ah][Kh] of Randal Sklar.  The flop fell [4c][5s][Ac], giving Randal top pair.  The [Tc] turn gave Thomas a flush draw to go with his two outs to a set.  The dealer burned and placed the [6d] on the river, however, and Thomas will exit this tournament in 3rd place.  He will collect $10,662 for his efforts.

4th Place: William Foxen ($7,812)

William Foxen was all in preflop holding [Ad][Jd] against Thomas Walsh's [Ac][Qc].  William did pick up chop outs on the [Ah][9c][Kh] flop, but the [3s] turn and [5s] river had William heading to the rail in 4th place.  He will earn $7,812 for his efforts.

5th Place: Chris Jenkins ($5,832)

Chris Jenkins has been eliminated in 5th place when his [Kh][Td] failed to improve against his opponent's [Qh][Qc].  The board ran out [5d][2h][5s][7d][8s], and Chris will head to the payout desk to collect $5,832.

6th Place: Tim Lahey ($4,421)

Continuing his good run at this final table, Randal Sklar has eliminated another player.  This time Randal's [Ac][Kh] was dominating Tim Lahey's [As][Js], all in preflop.  Tim flopped a gutshot on the [4d][Ks][Td] flop, but failed to find a jack or a queen on the [8d] turn and [6c] river.  Tim will earn $4,421 for his 6th place finish today.

7th Place: Dmitri Pidvysotski ($3,418)

Dmitri Pidvysotski raised preflop and Randal Sklar called.  After the [9h][8c][9d] flop was dealt, Dmitri moved all in and Randal snap called.  Dmitri had flopped second pair with his [Ac][8s] but was way behind Randal's [Qs][Qh].  The turn [7s] and river [2h] failed to give Dmitri his needed two outer, and he will head to the payout desk to collect his $3,418 for 7th place.

$250 NLH Ladies Prize Pool & Payouts

A total of 110 players entered today's $250 NLH Ladies Event, creating a prize pool of $23,100.  The top 12 players will be in the money, with a mincash worth $468.  Here are the full payouts:

1st Place: $6,723
2nd Place: $4,154

8th Place: $723
9th Place: $579
10th-12th Place: $468

8th Place: K Papanikos ($2,681)

K Papanikos was all in preflop holding [8s][3s] and needed some help as he was called by Jeff Hall holding [Ad][Jh].  The [2d][Qd][Kh] was no help, and the [Kd] turn meant K could not hit a diamond eight or three anymore.  The river fell the [Jc], unnecessarily pairing Jeff's hole cards.  K will earn $2,681 for his 8th place finish.

9th Place: Derek Chin ($2,142)

Derek Chin was all in preflop holding [Td][Tc] and was in good shape to double up against his opponent's [As][9s].  Unfortunately, for Derek, the flop fell [7c][9h][Ac], leaving him drawing to two outs.  The [2s] turn and [5c] were not what he was looking for, and Derek will exit this tournament in 9th place.  Derek collect $2,142 for his efforts.

Event #9 is now on dinner break

Approximately 47 remain from the starting field of 176 in Event #9: $580 NLH, and they are now on their one hour dinner break.  Play will resume at approximately 6:20pm EST at 800/1,600 blinds with a 200 ante.  Still in the field are Mike Nye, Dena Pearlman, and Randal Sklar.

1st Place: Michael Thibeau ($20,280)

John O. Matson minraised preflop from the button and Michael Thibeau called from the big blind.  The dealer put out the [9s][3d][4s] flop and Michael checked, only to see John move all in.  It was a snap call for Michael as he held [9c][3c], and John would need runner runner to survive with his [Ah][Qs].  The [7c] turn meant John was drawing dead, and the meaningless [Qh] hit the river to give Michael the win.

Micheal will collect $20,280 for his first place finish along with the World Series of Poker Circuit Ring.  Congratulations, Michael!

2nd Place: John O. Matson ($12,539)

Event #8 is now heads up

John O. Matson (800,000) vs Michael Thibeau (1,950,000)

3rd Place: Kevin Gibbs ($9,092)

Kevin Gibbs was all in preflop with K-Q and was up against the [Ac][Tc] of Michael Thibeau.  The board ran out [8h][4s][Td][4c][9d] and Kevin will exit the tournament in 3rd place.  He will collect $9,092 for his efforts.

Event #9 Prize Pool & Payouts

Event #9: $580 NLH had 176 entries, creating a $91,520 prize pool.  The top 18 players will be in the money with a mincash worth $1,189.  Here are the full payouts:

1st Place: $23,969
2nd Place: $14,816
3rd Place: $10,662
4th Place: $7,812
5th Place: $5,832
6th Place: $4,421
7th Place: $3,418
8th Place: $2,681
9th Place: $2,142
10th-12th Place: $1,731
13th-15th Place: $1,420
16th-18th Place: $1,189

4th Place: Vincent Farrell ($6,709)

Vincent Farrell has been eliminated when his [Qd][Qc] ran into the [Ks][Kd] of John O. Matson.  The board ran out a pure [Js][4h][4d][Ts][5s] and Vincent headed to the payout desk to collect $6,709 for his 4th place finish.

5th Place: James Watt ($5,036)

James Watt moved all in with [Qc][6c] and was called with [Ah][9c].  The [8c][8d][4d] flop was no help for James, but he was still live to make a pair.  The [5s] turn added a gutshot draw, but the [3c] was a brick.  James will exit this tournament in 5th place for $5,036, adding to his win of Event #1.

6th Place: Michael Huguenot ($3,836)

From the small blind, James Watt bet enough to put Michael Huguenot all in.  Michael elected to call with J-6, and was dominated by James's J-T.  The board ran out blanks until the river, when James paired his ten.  That was enough to send Michael to the rail in 6th place, good for $3,836.

7th Place: Aaron Frei ($2,966)

Pocket threes continue to hold up at this final table, this time to the misfortune of Aaron Frei.  Aaron was all in with pocket fours against pocket threes, and a three on the flop spelled doom for Aaron.  He could not find a four on the turn or the river, and he will be eliminated in 7th place.  Aaron will collect $2,966 for his finish.

8th Place: Pete Huzar ($2,332)

Pete Huzar has been eliminated when his [Ad][8c] failed to improve against his opponent's [3s][3d].  The [4s][4c][7h][Ks][Jd] board offered no help to Pete, who will exit this tournament in 8th place.  He will collect $2,332 for his efforts.

9th Place: Mark Awalt ($1,868)

It didn't take long for Mark Awalt to get all of his chips in the middle after losing a race to Vincent Farrell.  Unfortunately for Mark, his [Ah][3h] was behind his opponent's [Ad][Kd], but the [4d][2c][Js] flop gave him some hope with a gutshot.  The [7h] turn and [6d] river failed to improve Mark's hand, and he will exit this tournament in 9th place, good for $1,868.

Vincent Farrell doubles up & gets a penalty

Vincent Farrell moved all in and showed [3h][3c].  Unfortunately Mark Awalt had not made his decision yet.  It was an easy call for him with [8h][7h], but the [Js][5s][4h] kept the treys in front.  The [Kh] on the turn gave him a word of outs: a flush draw to go along with his gut shot straight draw and two overs.  Somehow, the [2c] hit the river.

Vincent doubled up, and was immediately put on a one round penalty for exposing his cards with action pending.  His 200,000 stack will be around 40,000 chips lighter when he takes his seat again.

10th Place: Glenn Stone ($1,504)

After a few chops (AK vs AK and AQ vs AQ), we finally lost our first player at this unofficial final table.  Glen Stone took 10th place when his [Ac][Jd] failed to improve against his opponent's [As][Qs].  He will collect $1,504, and we are now at the official WSOP Circuit Official Final Table.

Event #8 Update

It's 10:45pm and Event #8: $365 NLH is down to the final 19 players.  They are currently on break, and when they return blinds will be 3,000/6,000 with a 1,000 ante.

1st Place: Jesse Mercado ($21,276)

Nicholas Palma raised preflop and Jesse Mercado made the call from the big blind.  The flop fell [As][3d][5c] and Jesse check called Nicholas's continuation bet.  The [Js] turn saw another check-call, and the river came the [9d].  Jesse checked one more time and Nicholas moved all in.  Jesse immediately snap called and revealed [Ah][Ad] for top set.  Nicholas sighed and showed [5h][5d] for set under set.

The stacks were counted down and it was determined that Jesse had Nicholas slightly outchipped.  He will win $21,276 along with the World Series of Poker Circuit Ring.  Congratulations, Jesse!

2nd Place: Nicholas Palma ($13,154)

Event #7 is now heads up

After the elimination of Paul Torri in 3rd place, play is now heads up.  The final 2 are taking a brief break.  Here are their chip counts:

Nicholas Palma - 1,320,000
Jesse Mercado - 460,000

3rd Place: Paul Torri ($9,480)

Sometimes it's just not your day.  Paul Torri moved all in from the button for a little over 100,000 at 6,000/12,000 blinds, and Nicholas Palma made the call from the big blind.  Both players had the same hand, with Paul holding [Qs][8d] to Nicholas's [Qh][8h].  With the way Nicholas has been running, he joked to Paul that he had no chance at winning.  The dealer fanned the [5c][5h][6h] to indeed give Nicholas a freeroll, and he wasted no time hitting his flush on the [3h] turn.  Paul was drawing dead when the [2d] hit the river, and he will exit the tournament in 3rd place.  Paul earns $9,480 for his efforts.

4th Place: William Miller ($6,861)

Nicholas Palma raised preflop and William Miller went all in.  Action folded back to Nicholas who made the call.

Nicholas [Jd][Ts]
William [Ah][Qs]

The flop was safe for William, falling [5d][2c][8c], but the [Js] hit Nicholas.  William would need an ace or a queen to survive, but the [5c] river failed to improve his hand.  William will collect $6,861 for his 4th place finish here today.

Meanwhile, Nicholas Palma is up to around 1.2 million.

5th Place: Jon Reinhardt ($4,986)

Jon Reinhardt has been eliminated in 5th place when his J-T failed to improve against Jesse Mercado's A-9.  Jon flopped a gut shot and two overs but was unable to hit.  He will collect $4,986 for his 5th place finish.

Event #8 Prize Pool & Payouts

A total of 281 players entered Event #8: $365 NLH, creating a prize pool of $87,110.  The top 30 players will make the money, with a mincash worth $574.  Here are the full payouts:

1st Place: $20,280
2nd Place: $12,539
3rd Place: $9,092
4th Place: $6,709
5th Place: $5,036

19th-21st Place: $870
22nd-24th Place: $752
25th-27th Place: $650
28th-30th Place: $574

Paul Torri crippled, then doubles

Paul Torri raised preflop from the button before William Miller moved all in from the small blind.  Action folded around to Paul who thought for quite awhile before deciding to gamble for most of his chips.  Paul had [Js][Th] and was racing against William's [8s][8d].  The [Ac][5c][As][2c][7d] board missed Paul's two overs, and William doubled up.

On the next hand, Paul was all in with [Ac][Jh] and was a dominating favorite over his opponent's [Ah][9d].  The board ran out a pure [Th][Ad][3c][2s][3d], and Paul doubled up.  He now sits on 180,000 at 5,000/10,000 blinds.

6th Place: Michael Sanderson ($3,638)

On a [9h][2c][5d] flop, Michael Sanderson was all in holding [6s][6h] and was up against his opponent's [8h][8d].  Michael failed to find one of the two remaining sixes on the [Qd] turn and [5c] river, and hewill be our 6th place finisher.  Michael will earn $3,638 for his efforts today.
