Cards are back in the air for the $1,200 Mega Stack.  Day 2 begins with 58 players remaining, and the average chip stack is 221,000.  The blinds will resume at 3,000/6,000 with a 500 ante with 50 minute levels.

Day 1 concludes in the $1,200 Mega Stack

With 15 minutes left on the clock, a card was drawn, and it was determined that each table would play eight hands before completing play for the day.

The clock shows 59 players remaining, but an official count will be released shortly.

Day 2 will resume on Sunday at 11am EST, where the remaining players will play down to a winner.  Top 36 players will each earn at least $2,409, with 1st place taking home $82,948.

Break Time in the $1,200 Mega Stack with 75 Left

The players in the $1,200 Mega Stack Challenge event are now on a 10-minute break.

When play resumes, the blinds will be increased to 2,500-5,000 with a 500 ante.

With 75 players remaining, the average chip stack is now 171,200.

The final 36 players will finish in the money.

$1,200 Mega Stack on dinner break

The remaining 195 players are now on a one hour and fifteen minute dinner break.  Play will resume at 7:45pm, and the blinds will be at 600/1200 with a 200 ante.

$1,200 Mega Stack coming back to level 9

The 220 players remaining are now returning from their third break of the day.  When they return, they will be playing 500/1000 blinds with a 100 ante.  At 6:30pm, the remaining players will be on their dinner break.

There are approximately 270 players left in today's $1,200 Mega Stack event, down from the 321 runners that started the day.  Those players are now taking their second 10 minute break of the day.  When they return, they will be playing 250/500 blinds with a 50 ante.  The average stack is currently about 47,500.

Michael Woods was all in with [Jd][Td] on a [6d][8h][7d] flop against the [8d][6c] of Matt Miller.  Michael needed a diamond or a nine to win.  When the turn fell [Tc], Michael picked up additional outs and now also could catch a ten or a jack to make a better two pair, although a nine would now chop the pot.  It was not to be however, as the [2s] fell on the river giving Matt the winning hand.  Michael will collect $12,000 for his efforts.

3rd Place: Kurt Martineit ($12,000)

Kurt Martineit has been eliminated in 3rd place when his [Kc][9h] failed to improve against the [Ah][Ks] of Matt Miller.  Kurt will earn $12,000 for his efforts.

4th Place: Michael Hansen ($12,000)

Michael Hansen has been eliminated in 4th place when his AJ failed to outrace Kurt Martineit's [5s][5c].  In the photo above, Michael reacts to Kurt turning quad fives to leave him drawing dead.  Michael will earn $12,000 for his efforts.
