The blinds are being increased to 2,000-4,000 with a 400 ante.

Darvin Moon Loves the Foxwoods Rivers

Darvin Moon moved all in for his last 26,000 preflop and was called by the player to his left. A shorter stack in the blinds also called all in and the players turned over:

The flop came A-10-x giving the big stack a set. The turn was a blank and Moon said "Just give me one of his queens please.".

Sure enough, the queen hit the river, giving Moon the ace-high straight and the pot.

He now has over 70,000 chips.

Both Robert and Olga Varkonyi have been eliminated on Day One of the $340 Mega Stack Challenge.

The blinds have been increased to 1,500-3,000 with a 300 ante.

There are 250 players remaining with top 130 finishing in the money.

The players are now on a 10-minute break. There are just over 300 players remaining and the average chip stack is around 63,000.

The blinds will be increased to 1,200-2,400 with a 300 ante when they return.

Darvin Moon Hits the River to Double Up

Mega Stack Challenge host Darvin Moon got all in against an opponent after a jack high flop. Moon turned over pocket kings but his opponent showed pocket jacks for a set.

The turn blanked but the king on the river kept Moon alive and doubled him up to around 40,000 chips.

Blind Increase With Less Than 370 Players Remaining

The blinds have been increased to 1,000-2,000 with a 200 ante.

There are just under 370 players remaining and the average chip stack is around 53,000.

Cards Back in the Air at Foxwoods

The dinner break has come to an end and cards are back in the air in the $340 NLHE Mega Stack Challenge Event #1.

There are eight minutes left in the current level and then the blinds will be increased to 800-1,600 with a 200 ante.

With just two minutes left in level 8, there are approximately 500 players remaining in the $340 NLHE Mega Stack Challenge Event #1.

At the end of this level, the players will take a quick 10-minute break and then the blinds will be increased to 600-1,200 with a 100 ante.

Ryan Eriquezzo Eliminated

Ryan Eriquezzo, who finished 131st in the 2010 WSOP Main Event, has been eliminated on Day One of the $340 Mega Stack Challenge.

Bernard Lee Eliminated

Bernard Lee raised to 2,025 from under the gun and is called by the player in the small blind. The flop came out [Kh][9c][6s] and both players checked.

The turn was the [Ts] and the small blind led out for 2,025. Lee raised to 7,100 and the small blind repopped it to 16,000. Lee then moved all in and the small blind made the call. They turned over:

Lee had flopped a set but his opponent made his gut shot straight on the turn. The river came out the [2s] and Lee's set did not improve.

$340 Mega Stack Day One Blind Increase

The blinds have been increased to 50-100.

Players are still lining up to register and are now being given alternate numbers.

Alternates To Be Put In Play

With the massive turnout for he $340 NLHE event, all seats are just about spoken for. Tournament officials will be taking players currently in line and putting them on the alternates list.

They will take their seats as players are eliminated from the event.

Bernard Lee Makes Day 5 at the WSOP Main Event

Foxwoods Poker Room Spokesperson Bernard Lee has made Day 5 of the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event. The 574 players (out of the 7,319 that started) remaining are all in the money!

Bernard starts today with 47,000 in chips.

Foxwoods regular Ryan Eriquezzo has 1,061,000 in chips and Ronnie Bardah is sitting on 751,000.

As soon as Willy Santiago and Brett Taylor got heads-up, a deal was made that awarded Taylor 2nd place and $42,769,

Peter Campo Eliminated in 3rd Place ($22,795)

Peter Campo raised from the button to 120K and Willy Santiago called from the big blind. The flop came down [Qh][5d][2d] and Santiago checked. Campo bet 150K and Santiago moved all in. Campo thought for a few minutes before making the call. They turned over:

Santiago took the lead on the flop with a pair of queens. The [Js] on the turn and [7s] on the river did not improve Campo's hand and he was eliminated in 3rd place.

Oleg Potseluev Eliminated in 4th Place ($19,400)

Wilfredo Santiago raised to 65K preflop and Oleg Potseluev moved all in for around 400K more. Santiago made the call and they turned over:

Vinny Lambiase raised to 80K from the small blind and Brett Taylor called from the big blind. The flop came [8c][4c][2c] and Lambiase fired 150K. Taylor put him all in and Lambiase mase the call. They turned over:

Lambiase had flopped a set of fours but Taylor had the nut flush draw. The turn was the [6c], giving Taylor the flush and the lead.

After being crippled in a huge hand by Wilfredo Santiago, Michael Woods was just eliminated from the tournament after getting all in with [8s][7s] against the [5d][5h].

The board ran out [Ad][Kh][Js][9h][2d] and Woods was eliminated from the tournament in 6th place.

The blinds have been increased to 12K-24K with a 3K ante.

Kevin Murray Eliminated in 7th Place ($10,792)

Kevin Murray moved all in preflop for his last 253K and was called by Brett Taylor in the big blind. They turned over:
