Foxwoods Poker Room Spokesperson Bernard Lee has made Day 3 of Event #42, the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em, at the 41st Annual World Series of Poker.

2,521 players started the event and they are down to the final 25.

The heads-up deal between Willy Santiago and Brett Taylor awarded Santiago with $58,475 and the trophy.

Brett Taylor Takes 2nd Place ($42,769)

As soon as Willy Santiago and Brett Taylor got heads-up, a deal was made that awarded Taylor 2nd place and $42,769,

Peter Campo Eliminated in 3rd Place ($22,795)

Peter Campo raised from the button to 120K and Willy Santiago called from the big blind. The flop came down [Qh][5d][2d] and Santiago checked. Campo bet 150K and Santiago moved all in. Campo thought for a few minutes before making the call. They turned over:

Santiago took the lead on the flop with a pair of queens. The [Js] on the turn and [7s] on the river did not improve Campo's hand and he was eliminated in 3rd place.

Oleg Potseluev Eliminated in 4th Place ($19,400)

Wilfredo Santiago raised to 65K preflop and Oleg Potseluev moved all in for around 400K more. Santiago made the call and they turned over:

The board ran out [Jc][5c][5s][4s][7c] and Santiago's tens held up to win the pot and eliminate Potseluev in 4th place.

Vinny Lambiase Eliminated in 5th Place ($16,661)

Vinny Lambiase raised to 80K from the small blind and Brett Taylor called from the big blind. The flop came [8c][4c][2c] and Lambiase fired 150K. Taylor put him all in and Lambiase mase the call. They turned over:

Lambiase had flopped a set of fours but Taylor had the nut flush draw. The turn was the [6c], giving Taylor the flush and the lead.

After being crippled in a huge hand by Wilfredo Santiago, Michael Woods was just eliminated from the tournament after getting all in with [8s][7s] against the [5d][5h].

The board ran out [Ad][Kh][Js][9h][2d] and Woods was eliminated from the tournament in 6th place.

Luis Vazquez raised from the button to 8K preflop and Kevin Schaffel reraised from the big blind to 24K. Vazquez made the call and the flop came [Ks][7c][6s].

Schaffel led out for 40K and Vazquez moved all in. Schaffel immediately made the call and they turned over:

Vazquez announced "Nice hand" and started to count out his chip to send Schaffel's way as the turn came out the [Js].

It wasn't until about four second after the [5s] hit the river did anyone at the table realize that Vazquez had hit a flush to take the pot.

Schaffel, who is serving as host of the Mega Stack Challenge, shook Vazquez's hand and presented him with a hat and shirt before leaving the tournament area.

Play started at noon today, but Luis Vazquez was late and just sat down at his table.

The first hand he is dealt, he picks up pocket aces and knocks out a short stacked opponent hold A-10,

Kevin Schaffel Triples Up

Kevin Schaffel was all in preflop against Kyle Loman and Steve Buckley. The flop came [Kc][4s][2s]. Loman and Buckley got all their chips in and the players turned over:

Schaffel had the lead with his pair of aces and Buckley was ahead in the side pot with a pair of kings with an ace kicker. However, Loman had the flush draw and two pair redraw with two cards to come.

The turn was the [7d] and the river came the [Th]. Loman missed his draw and doubled Buckley up to over 350,000. Loman was left with around 40,000.

Schaffel won the main pot and tripled up to around 150,000.

Bernard Lee Eliminated From the Mega Stack

Bernard Lee was just eliminated from the Mega Stack Challenge when his A-Q could not improve against his opponent's A-K after getting all the chips in the middle on an ace high flop.

Sick, Sick Call by Luis Vazquez

On a board of [Kc]7x3x, Luis Vazquez's opponent bet out 4,200. Vazquez made the call and the turn was the [9c].

This time, his opponent led out for 8,000. Again, Vazquez made the call.

The river came the [3c] and his opponent went into the tank. After a few moments, he moved all in for his last 40,000.

Vazquez studied the other player for a minute before tossing eight black 5,000 chips into the middle.

His opponent said, "You win." and tabled J-10 off suit for jack high.

Vazquez flipped up A-J for ace high and raked in a pot that boosted his stack to well over 200,000.

Kevin Schaffel Doubles Up to Over 100K

Kevin Schaffel just doubled up to over 100K when he got all of his chips in the middle with A-Q against his opponent's 8-6.

An eight hit the flop but so did an ace and Schaffel's pair of aces held up.
