Fabio Dagata just won a massive pot after knocking out one player, and doubling through another.

According to Dagata and a few other players at the table, Dagata raised to 4,500 on the button, the player in the small blind reraised to 16,000, the big blind called the 16,000, and Dagata shoved all in for 140,000. The small blind called, having both players covered, and the big blind quickly called for his 90,000.

Dagata: 44♣
Small Blind: QQ♣
Big Blind: A♠A

Dagata was behind both players until the flop came 8♠54♠, giving him a set of fours to take the lead.

The 4 came on the turn giving Dagata quad fours, and leaving his opponents drawing dead.

The river was the inconsequential 5.

The floor came over to help count down Dagata's 140,900 stack, while the big blind exited the tournament area.

Peter Sennon shoves all in from the small blind, and it folds back to Cortellino who asks for a count. Upon hearing the 38,400 total, Cortellino pauses and then moves his chip stack forward. The button snap-folds, and the players table their hands.

Cortellino: AA
Sennon: JJ

The board runs out 8♣7♠6♣26.

Driscoll explained that Happas had doubled him up when he got it all in holding A♣Q♣ against Happas' ace-ten off-suit.

A few orbits later Driscoll opened to 2,700 from under the gun, Brian Altman called on the button, and Happas raised to 8,200 in the small blind. With action back on Driscoll, he shoved all in for 20,000, Altman folded, and Happas called.

Driscoll was in good shape, holding JJ♠ against Happas' 10♣10

The flop came three low cards, with two clubs. The turn was also a club, and unfortunately for Driscoll, the fourth club came on the river giving Happas a flush to eliminate Driscoll from play.

Event #8 ($250 NLH Ladies Event + One Brave Male) Photos

There are currently 75 entries and climbing in today's No-Limit Hold'em Ladies Event.  Interestingly, there are 74 females, and one brave male that has taken his seat in hopes of competing against some of the best of the best, not just females, but players!

There are a few previous Ladies Event champions in the field today, but one that will not be making a "third times a charm" win is Catherine Connaughton. Back in December Catherine won the Ladies Event for the second time in a row.  Late last night Connaughton won her seat into today's Event #9 ($1,200 No-Limit Hold'em) and is taking her chance in that field, rather than go for a third win in a row in the ladies event. Regardless of which tournament she is playing, there is no doubt Ms. Connaughton is definitely "one to watch."

Below are a few photos from today's field of ladies (and one man):
