Rory Anderson doubles through Peter Wagner again

On a [Tc][4h][9c] flop, Rory Anderson was all in with [Kc][Qc] and was up against the [9s][7h] of Peter Wagner.  Peter had the best hand with a pair of nines, but Rory was a 61% favorite with his flush draw, gutshot, and two overs.  The [Jd] turn gave Rory the straight, leaving Peter drawing dead, and the [5c] river unnecessarily improved him to a flush.

Rory has now built his stack back up to 3.5 million while Peter has 4.7 million.

Peter Wagner opened the button before Rory Anderson moved all in.  After some thought, Peter called with [Jh][8s] and was crushed by Rory's [Js][Jc].  The [5s][Td][2c] flop was no help, but the [9h] did give Peter an open ended straight draw.  The [6h] hit the river to give Rory the double up.  He still has some work to do, though, as he is still largely outchipped.

5th Place: Kyle Anderson ($11,282)

Kyle Anderson moved all in from the small blind holding [5h][4s] and was called by Rory Anderson in the big blind holding [Ah][Qc].  It was a battle of the Andersons, with Kyle needing to improve to survive.  The [Qd][Jd][Kd] flop meant Kyle was now drawing to runner runner.  The [Ac] turn did open up some chop outs for Kyle, but the [8s] hit the river to eliminate him in 5th place.  Kyle will earn $11,282 for his efforts.

On a [Qs][Tc][2d], Rory Anderson was all in holding [Ks][Kd] and was up against the [Kc][Qc] of Mark Bramley.  Rory merely had to dodge a queen to survive, but the [Jc] gave Mark a flush draw, not to mention a Royal Flush draw.  The [7s] hit the river to give Rory the double up, and he now sits on approximately 700,000.

6th Place: Bruce Secor ($9,133)

From under the gun, Victor Usati moved all in and Bruce Secor made the call from the small blind.  It was a cooler as Victor's [Qs][Qc] ran into Bruce's [Kd][Kc].  The [9s][Qd][As] flop once again delivered a flopped set to the smaller pocket pair.  The [2d] hit the turn and Rory Anderson admitted he folded deuces.  The [5s] hit the river to send Bruce to the rail in 6th place, good for $9,133.

7th Place: Vito Masi ($7,306)

Vito Masi had dwindled down to less than one big blind, and he was all in before the deal from the big blind position.  Two other players saw the [6d][2d][Qh] flop, but a single bet was enough to fold out the other live player.  Vito's opponent tabled [Ah][5h] for just ace high, but Vito could only find [Ts][7d] as he saw his hand for the first time.  The [8c] turn gave Vito a gutshot straight draw to go along with his live cards, but the [8h] river meant Vito will exit the tournament in 7th place.  He will earn $7,306 for his efforts.

8th Place: Ray Hicks ($5,695) & 9th Place: Keith Romanovitz ($4,427)

It was a three way all in, and all three players had huge hands:

The stacks were counted down, and it was discovered Ray had the bigger stack of the two, so he will earn $5,695 for his 8th place finish.  Meanwhile, Keith will earn $4,427 for his 9th place finish.

10th Place: Giuseppe Ruvolo ($3,330)

From the button, Giuseppe Ruvolo moved all in before Mark Bramley moved all in over the top from the button.  The blinds released, and the hands were revealed

Five more hands

With 10 minutes left on the clock, it has been announced that the field will play five more hands before completing play for the night.  Players that survive will return at 12pm.  Currently there are 57 players remaining including David Stefanski, Tom Dobrilovic, and Nick Palma.

Last break of the night

The 65 remaining players are on their last break of the night.  The tournament staff are coloring up and racing off the 100 chips during this break.  When the players return, they will play one more level before bagging up their chips for the night.  Day 2 will resume at 12pm and will play down until an eventual winner.

James Woods has been eliminated

At 800/1,600 blinds, James Woods moved all in from middle position for his last 11,700.  The button reraised to 25,000 and the blinds got out of the way.  James was behind with king ten against the button's ace jack.  The [2h][6d][7s][5d][Qh] board was no help to James, and he will be eliminated.

A player was all in and at risk holding [As][Kd] against James Woods's [9s][9c].  Before the flop came out, a cocktail waitress asked James if he wanted a drink, to which he replied, "I may, hold on."  The [4h][4c][Qc] flop was good for James, as was the [8s] turn.  When the [3h] hit the river, James told his opponent good game and promptly ordered a beverage.  James now sits on approximately 34,000.

After this level there will be a 10 minute break, and the field will play 2 more 40 minute levels before going on their 1 hour dinner break.

Mark Dube doubles through Allen Kessler

Mark Dube was all in preflop holding [6s][6h] and was up against Allen Kessler who held [Ad][Qc].  It was another flip for the title, but this time Allen had the chip leader.  The [Jh][3d][7h] was no help for either player, and most of the rail rooted for Mark's sixes to hold up.  They did through the [4s] turn and [8d].  Mark counted down his stack and found 1.85 million, which means he now has over 3.7 million to Allen's 6.8 million.

Allen Kessler doubles through Mark Dube

Allen Kessler raised the button and Mark Dube moved all in, having Allen covered.  Allen snap called to see Mark flip over [As][9s].  It was a race as Allen had [7s][7c], and Allen pointed out that Mark's been running well in these spots.  With a lot of Mark's supporters surrounding him, the dealer ran out the [6c][8c][8d][Qc][5c] board.  Allen's [7c] made him a flush, and he will double his 2.54 million stack to get the two players very close to even.

3rd Place: Greg White ($76,791)

Greg White was all in preflop holding [Qd][Js] and was up against the [6s][6c] of Mark Dube.  Greg was hoping his bad luck would finally turn around on this hand, and it looked like it would when the window card was the [Qh].  Unfortunately, there was a six right behind it as the dealer spread [9c][6h][Qh].  The [4s] turn meant Greg was drawing dead, and he was out of his chair before the [Jd] hit the river.

The board read [9d][Js][Qd][Ac] and Allen check-called a 530,000 bet from Mark Dube to see a [6s] river.  Allen checked once again, and this time Mark bet 1 million.  Allen reluctantly called and asked Mark if he had a straight.  Mark said he did as he flipped [Th][8h].  Allen claimed to have two pair, and the two discussed whether Allen would have called a shove.

After the hand, Mark extended his lead to 6.5 million while Allen is just above 2.5 million.

4th Place: Hilary Dombrowski ($56,940)

In two hands, Mark Dube has dispensed of Hilary Dombrowski.  Both hands were races, but luck favored Mark.

On the first hand, Mark was allin holding [As][Qd] against Hilary's [4s][4d].  Mark didn't waste any time winning this one as the flop fell [Ah][2d][8s].  The [3c] turn and [Jd] river changed nothing, and Mark earned a double up to over 4 million.

Hilary found himself all in a few minutes later with [3h][3d] against Mark's [As][Ks].  Once again, Mark drilled the [Qc][5h][Kd] flop, and didn't look back as the board ran out [4d][8c].

Hilary will finish this tournament in 4th place, good for $56,940.

Allen Kessler raised under the gun and Mark Dube 3-bet from the small blind.  After Greg White folded, Allen moved all in and Mark snap called.  Unfortunately for Mark, his pocket jacks were crushed by Allen's [Qh][Qc].  The [3h][7c][5h][6s][Td] board brought little drama and Allen will double up to over 5 million chips, and is now the tournament chip leader.
