Event 3A $600 NLH: Day 1A Chip Counts, Spiros Stathakis Leads the 42 Survivors


Event 3A $600 NLH: 276 Day 1A Entries

Registration is now closed in our first Foxwoods Poker WSOP Circuit $600 NLH $500,000 Guaranteed ring event flight. There were 276 total Day 1A entries and the second Event 3 flight is filling up fast.

The Day 1A players will play 15 levels before the bagging process begins at approximately 7:15 PM.

The combined Day 1A-E survivors will return Monday August 19 at 11 AM to resume Day 2 play and play down to a winner.

Event 2 $600 Six Max NLH: Andrew Lauer Wins His Third WSOP Circuit Ring and $14,058

Event 2 of the Foxwoods Poker World Series of Poker Circuit was the $600 Six Max NLH. There were 92 entries and when the dust settled Andrew Lauer was in the winners circle.

Lauer quietly chipped up at the final table and vaulted to top after doubling through James Campbell holding top set against the top pair of Campbell. He then took down the largest pot of the day during three handed play holding ace king against the ace queen suited of the runner up Charles Alex-Barton.

After a nearly two hour heads up match Lauer came out on top and he takes home $14,058 along with his third WSOP Circuit ring.

Charles Alex-Barton
With about 300,000 in the pot Charles Alex-Barton moved all in on the turn for 250,000 on the 10♣️5♦️2♠️4♠️ board. Andrew Lauer called turning over A♦️2♥️ but he was dominated by the A♣️10♥️ of Alex-Barton. 

"Oh man that was such a bad call I made" said Lauer but the 2♣️ completed the board improving Lauer to trip deuces to score the knockout. 

Alex-Barton took the tough beat in stride shaking hands with Lauer congratulating him on his victory. Alex-Barton is our Six Max runner up and will take home $8,690 for his second place finish.

Steve Williams
Steve Williams got his stack of just over 200,000 all in pre-flop holding A♥️J♣️ against the 4♣️4♥️ of Charles Alex-Barton. 

There was a four in the window for Alex-Barton and Williams was sent tot eh rail in 3rd place earning $5,775 for his efforts.

Charles Alex-Barton raised to 20,000 and Andrew Lauer re-raised to 75,000 from the small blind. With the action back on Alex-Barton he made it 200,000 and Lauer moved all in for 640,000.

Alex-Barton called turning over A♥️Q♥️ but he was dominated by the A♣️K♥️ of Lauer. 

The A♠️10♠️7♦️2♥️10♥️ runout sealed the deal for Lauer and he dragged in the biggest pot of the tournament to extend his lead.

James Campbell
James Campbell and Steve Williams went heads up to the K♠️8♥️4♠️ flop. Campbell moved all in for about 100,000 and Williams quickly called. 

Campbell showed Q♥️8♣️ for middle pair but would need to improve against the K♦️10♥️ of Williams. 

The turn brought the 7♠️ and the K♣️ completed the board improving Williams to trip kings to score the knockout. Campbell is our 4th place Event 2 finisher and will take home $3,975 for his efforts.

There has certainly been no shortage of action here at the Six Max final table. The chips are flying a new chip leader has emerged.

Andrew Lauer doubled through James Campbell holding top set against the top pair of Campbell on the nine high flop.

He is now at the top of the chips counts with over 600,000 and just three players stand between him and his third WSOP Circuit ring.
