Daniel Voccia Survives Heart Attack But Not Day 1

Daniel Voccia

Daniel Voccia, who won a February Mega Stack Challenge event, has had quite a day.

This morning, Voccia was rushed to the hospital after suffering a mild heart attack. After a few hours, Voccia was feeling better but was not able to leave yet per hospital guidelines.

His friend, Kamran Munaf, left the hospital and registered both himself and Voccia for today's $600 Mega Stack Challenge. After a couple of hours, Voccia was released and showed up to take over his chip stack.

Voccia was unable to get anything going and was eliminated just moments ago. Munaf has built his stack up to over 80,000.

Clearly Voccia is feeling better, as he did say on his way out of the poker room that he would be back for the 6pm $120 Deep Stack tournament tonight...
