Daniel Lee

Sean Thomson moved all in from the small blind and Daniel Lee called for about 8,000,000 from the big. Thomson showed 10♠️6♣️ and would need to improve against the A♥️5♠️ of Lee.

The board ran out 6♥️4♦️3♣️10♦️9♦️ and Thomson improved to two pair to score the knockout. Lee is our 3rd place Event 2 finisher taking home $25,105 and heads-up play is now underway.

Hilary Dombrowski

Hilary Dombrowski moved all in for 3,500,00 from the button and Jingzhe Cao called from the big blind. Dombrowski turned over A♣️8♣️ but he was dominated by the A♥️9♥️ of Cao.

The dealer fanned the 10♥️6♥️3♥️ flop and Cao flopped the nut flush leaving Dombrowski drawing dead. 

The meaningless 2♣️ and 10♣️ completed the board and Dombrowski was eliminated in 4th place earning $18,370 for his efforts.

Jingzhe Cao

Jingzhe Cao limped in from under the gun and Hilary Dombrowski limped the button. Sean Thomson raised to 2,500,000 from the small blind and Cao re-raised to 5,000,000.

It folded back to Thomson who moved all in and Cao quickly called for 16,500,000.

Thomson turned over 7♠️7♥️ but was dominated by the J♥️J♦️ of Cao. The board ran out Q♥️8♣️5♥️6♦️6♥️ and Cao's pocket jacks held up to earn him the double up.

Mike Nye

The action folded to Mike Nye in the small blind and he raised to 900,000. Sean Thomson defended his big blind and they went heads up to the 10♥️7♥️7♦️ flop.

Nye continued with a bet of 700,000 and Thomson called. The turn was the 3♠️ and Nye fired out a bet of 1,600,000.

Thomson called and the K♣️ completed the board. Nye led out with a bet of 2,400,000 and Thomson moved all in covering Nye who had about 7,000,000 behind.

"Did you really get that lucky on the turn" asked Nye and Thomson sat silently. After giving some thought Nye called and Thomson showed 7♠️3♣️ for sevens full of threes.

"Yup you did get that lucky on the turn" said Nye as he flashed his 8♠️7♣️ for trip sevens. Nye is our 5th place finisher earning $13,570 and Thomson extends his massive chip lead.

Rodney Legendre

Rodney Legendre raised to 900,000 and Sean Thomson re-raised to 3,000,000 from the button. It folded back to Legendre who moved all in for 9,100,000 and Thomson snap called.

Legendre turned over K♥️K♦️ and Thomson showed A♣️K♣️. The dealer fanned the A♠️9♥️4♦️ flop and Thomson spiked his ace in the window to take the lead.

The turn 8♥️ and river Q♣️ sealed the deal for Thomson and Legendre was eliminated in 6th place earning $10,215. Legendre took the brutal beat in stride and shook hands with the table wishing the luck on his way out.

Thomson is now sitting behind a mountain of 47,500,000 and is playing more than half of the chips in play with just 5 players remaining.
