Hand For Hand in Event #1C

There are currently 72 players remaining, and 69 get paid.  We are now hand for hand, until we reach the final 69 players.

Massive Pot Right Before Break

Level: 15
Blinds:  1,200/2,400
Ante:  400

A player under the gun limps in.  Chris Orme shoves all in from middle position for 12,400.  "Bad Bart" calls on the button, as does Brandon Shambach in the small blind.  With action back on the original limper, he shoves all in for 47,800.  "Bad Bart calls the 47,800.  With action back on Shambach, he announces that he too is all in.  "Bad Bart" asks for a count and upon hearing the 103,700 total, he calls.

Under the Gun:  [as][3s]
Orme: [9c][9d]
Bad Bart: [5h][5d]
Shambach: [js][jd]

The flop comes [kc][9s][4h], giving Orme a set of nines.  The turn is the [6d], and the river the [2h].

The player under the gun is eliminated from play.  Orme is awarded a full quadruple up, and the side pot is awarded to Shambach with his pair of jacks.

Chris Orme - 69,000
Bad Bart - 155,000
Brandon Shambach - 310,000

Erik Zeiss Doubles After a Tough Call

Erik Zeiss raises to 7,500 in middle position.  Action folds to the cutoff who re-shoves having Zeiss covered by quite a lot.  Zeiss goes into the tank for a few minutes and eventually announces a call.

Zeiss:  [10h][10d]
Cutoff:  [ac][kd]

The [ks] shows in the window, but luckily for Zeiss, the [10c] (and [5c]) are right behind the king.  The [6s] turn and [7h] river ensures Zeiss a full double up.

Fellow players at the table congratulate Zeiss on a good call as he begins stacking his chips.

Erik Zeiss - 132,800

Chris Tryba Flops Top Set

Chris Tryba
On a board reading [10d][6h][5c], the small blind checks, and Chris Tryba bets 3,700 from under the gun.  The hijack calls the 3,700, and the cutoff makes it 9,500.  The small blind folds, and with action back on Trybe, he announces a raise to 18,700.  The hijack folds, and the button tanks for a moment before also folding.

Tryba turns over [10c][10s] for a flopped set.

Chris Tryba - 125,000

Matt Bretzfield Faces Five Minute Tank

On a board reading [8d][5d][4d][js][qs], Matt Fretzfield shoves all in from the small blind, and the player on the button goes into the tank.  The pot is around 30,000, and if the button calls for his remaining 10,000 stack, his tournament life could be over.

Over four minutes pass, with the button standing up and cupping his chin saying things like, "I just have a feeling."  A player not involved in the hand calls clock and a floor staff is brought over to count down 60 seconds for the button to act.

With 5 seconds left, the button open-folds [9c][8h] for a pair of eights.

"Oh come on man, I don't bluff every time" Fretzfield says as he turns over [kd][qd] for a flopped flush.

Matt Fretzfield - 80,000
