Dawn Wilensky was just sent to the rail in 5th earning $1,255. We are now down to the final four ladies and Kat "The Black Panther" Khaterzai is leading the way with just over 1,000,000.

Khaterzai won her first Foxwoods Poker ladies event here in October for over $4,000 and just three woman now stand between Khaterzai and back to back ladies event titles.

Soukha Kachittavong
Soukha Kachittavong raised to 1,500 from middle position and both of the blinds called. They went three handed to the 8♠️8♥️6♠️ flop and the small blind checked.

The big blind fired out a bet of 5,000 and Kachittavong raised to 13,000. The small blind folded and the big blind moved all in for about 40,000.

Kachittavong snap called turning over 8♣️7♣️ and his opponent showed 5♣️5♠️. The turn 4♣️ and river 7♥️ improved Kachittavong to a full house to earn him the pot and the knockout. 

Kachittavong is now in contention for the Day 1C chip lead with just over 130,000.

Day 1B of the Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge Championship NLH drew a total of 94 entries. There are 32 players that are moving on to Day 2 and it's Anthony Giliberti leading our second Championship flight with 255,600.

Joseph Coulombe is right on his heels with 207,200 and Frank Passantino rounds out the top three Day 1B chip stacks with 198,600.

Day 2 play will resume Sunday December 9 at 12 P.M. and 10 players from Day 1A have already advanced.

Event 9 of the Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge is the $250 Ladies NLH. There were a total of 86 entries creating a prize pool of $17,935.

The final 12 ladies will all make the money and be guaranteed a minimum of $448. The winner will be taking home $5,022 along with the Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge trophy.

While the second Championship flight winds down in the back of the tournament area the third any final flight is just underway.

We are approaching the first Day 1C break of the night and the field is growing fast. Soukha Kachittavong who is having another series to remember has just taken his seat.

Kachittavong is fresh off a third place finish in last nights $400 NLH $100,000 GTD where he took home over $12,000.

A player in early position raised to 2,300 and four players called. Soheb Porbandarwala re-raised to 12,000 from the small blind and three players called.

They went four handed to the A♠️7♠️3♦️ flop and it checked to Ken Sherman who bet 20,100. It folded back to Porbandarwala who check-raised all in for 40,000 and Sherman quickly called.

Porbandarwala turned over A♦️K♦️ for top pair but Sherman showed 3♣️3♥️ for bottom set. The turn 4♣️ and river 5♦️ were no help to Porbandarwala and he was eliminated. 

Sherman scooped the massive pot and he is leading the way with about 250,000 and just 48 Day 1B players remaining.

The ladies have returned from break and Kat Khaterzai continues to climb the chip counts. Khaterzai won her first Foxwoods ladies event here in October.

She bested the 60 entry field in the Foxwoods World Poker Finals $250 Ladies NLH event earning over $4,000 and the trophy.

Khaterzai is picking up right where she left off and she's one of the first ladies today to cross the century chip mark with just over 100,000.

Lauren Monosson who already bagged chips in the Championship on Day 1A is among the early arrivals. Other ladies who are putting their chips to work include Linda Swears, Kat Khaterzai and Dawn Wilensky just to name a few.

As we walk around the tournament area we see Ted Driscoll stacking his chips and he was kind enough to fill us in on the action.

Driscoll and his opponent went heads-up to the river on the 7♥️5♥️4♦️10♦️Q♣️ board when all of the chips went into the middle.

Driscoll's opponent tabled Q♥️Q♠️ for top set but it was no good as Driscoll was holding 8♣️6♣️ for the flopped nut straight. 

The massive pot was shipped to Driscoll and he is now near the top of the chip counts with 130,000.

The third and final starting flight of the Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge $1,650 NLH Championship $200,000 Guaranteed kicks off at 5 P.M. in the upstairs tournament area.

This will be a three day event and players will start with 40,000 in non value tournament chips. This is a best stack forward event with unlimited re-entries.

Levels 1-12 will be 40 minutes and levels 13 and up will be 60 minutes each.

As the Day 1B field continues to grow we are seeing plenty of familiar faces take their seats. Pushpa Agarwal took home her first Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge trophy last week.

Agarwal was part of a three-way adjusted payout deal earning $7,800 and the hardware. Scott Robbins was also in on the deal earning $7,983.

Both players have joined the Day 1B Championship field and will look to continue their hot series.

Day 1A of the Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge $1,650 NLH Championship drew a total of 22 entries. Play wrapped up in the late night hours and 10 of those players are moving on to Day 2.

David Mock got off to a fast start in the early levels after winning a monster pot. Mock and his opponent were heads-up on the river on the 8♣️4♠️2♦️A♥️8♥️ board when all of the chips went in the middle.

Mock's opponent turned over A♣️8♦️ for eights full of aces but Mock did one better tabling A♠️A♦️ for aces full of eights. 

Mock scored the knockout and never looked back putting 296,300 in the bag to lead the final 10 Day 1A survivors.

The combined Day 1A-C Championship survivors will returned Sunday December 8 at 12 P.M. to resume Day 2 play.
